Man! you are Awesome!! the way you explained everything, it was like becoming a doctor or dietitian overnight or no in 13 minutes...super awesome!! thanks and keep up the awesome work!!
Can't add much more info except that it is imperative for at least a few days to write down everything you eat and the nutrition facts. I was losing a good healthy weight - but not enough. I finally wrote down what I ate - Wow!!...I was actually eating an additional 500 more calories than before my diet started. It actually proved that eating healthy can help you lose weight even though you are eating more calories. See my video that starts with Feb. 21, 2012 for more details.
ok so i have a question. I am 16, i was very active. I did football, track, plus volleyball. Before i did all of this, when i was a kid, i was severely over weight, i have managed to cut some fat off but i cannot get rid of all of it. I do not do sports now or go to a gym, if you could help me, i would appreciate it
Do you have any picture of you before you started training? did you were fat/ normal? would really help. And one question: I am not fat, but i have fet an my belly, but i train as well 2 times a week and do basketball/etc 2 -3 times a week. What should i eat? i want to lose fat and grow muscles but i cant have enough energy to build em and less so i burn fat at the same time, or do i?
@briturtraining Good to see solid science-based info... agreed with everything except the white rice part, GI index doesn't matter when you eat carbs with other macros. Protein is highly insulinogenic as well, so there's really no point worrying about it.
Hey i got a question, im about to be 18 years old, i weigh about 230, i need to lose about 35lbs before september, im going to join AFROTC and a special group where i have to score outstanding on the physical fitness assessment, i need to lose some weight so i run faster, what do i need to do?
Hey man im 15 years old, and i need to lose about 15 pounds, i want to lose the weight so i can get on a gainer to gain mass for football. im 187lbs now, can you please message me so i can get some help on dieting and my calorie intake? i would really appreciate that, your HUGE btw!
@InternetTheExplorers WTF you dont't have to lose weight to gain muscle mass!!!!!!!! my suggest is: get your muscle mass eating good ammount of carbs and protein (diet is 75%) and then cut for about 1-3 months
@GentianNB I know, but i want to lose alot of my fat so i can get on a weight gainer, im almost there:) About a month of cardio and im confident ill get the results i want, and yes, im on protein, but i DO need to watch my diet
I really appreciated this video so thnx. the photo idea is great, it will really help me keep on top and so will the short term cause I always just saw the long term and how far away that was. I like your informative videos because i need an understanding of whats happening. Think your great so keep up the good work.
nice vid man i subbed. lol thank god someone else out there knows about calories. Each time i watch a fitness vid I want to fucken hurl because all those dumbasses talk about are carbs when at the end of the day it all comes down to calories !!
stop eating at 10pm at your last 10pm meal have 6 oz steak and 40 grams of protein from cottage cheese. This will take at least 15 hours for your body to use all the amino acids and break them down.. so Do a fast until 2pm the next day.. You don't have to worry about muscle loss as long as you have aminos in your blood and if you eat a big enough protien meal b4 the fast you should have aminos in your blood the whole fast untill u eat again. allowing your body to attack fat that whole time.
@hcinep you can eat whenever you want as long as you're getting the macro nutrients needed by your body to reach the goal you desire. i can eat 1-3 meals a day or 6-7 meals a day, it doesn't matter. people give little trust to their bodies when it comes to effectively processing and using nutrients. meal timing and frequency are irrelevant when it comes to body composition.
so thats 75g of protein? Then I got to eat alot more protein stuff? How to reach 172 proteins? Could you answer me please? Thanks for the help, great video
I got a question, so I weigh 78 kg that comes to 172 pounds, so I need to eat 172 proteines? or for example 172g of fish that contains protein? I just ate 125 of fish and it contained 26 proteins it said, so thats 26g of protein? and it the morning 2 eggs which are together about 14 proteins, so thats 40 proteins already, and if i ate 100g of chicken in the evening which is 28 proteins is 68, + all the vegetables and fruit i ate comes to 75 proteins,
I guarantee you there are those that will debate my answer but I'll give it to you anyways. Intaking 150 grams of protein for 176 lbs of LBM is not enough in my opinion. I prescribe to my clients ATLEAST 1 gram, but I suggest 1.5-2g's per LBM lb's weighed. This ensures your body has enough protein to use as much as it can per day on recovery. As you know protein/amino acids are the building blocks of muscle.
If anything just add 2 scoops of whey to the diet, theres 50gs!
@BriturTraining Ok thanks for the answer I am already using one scoop of protein for the amino acids and using 5 gram of amino I guess ill try to take more protein also training evry group 3 times a week whit 48 hours rest between works really good you should try. When I feel that I am not recovered I just skip the training but most of the time I can train 2-3 weeks whitout a need of rest.
if already pretty lean, around 10% bodyfat, would u still recommend a cheat meal refeed? i mean, should a lean person refeed with "clean" foods, like rice and chicken or get the 6-700 cals from whatever they want
@rjp9871 Yes, a refeed/cheat restores your leptin levels. Leptin (in short) is a hormone in your body that helps regulate metabolism and how to burn or store fat, so its good to keep it at a good level because it drops while dieting. As far as what you eat that's up to you, some people work better by getting cravings out on one meal but some people know they can't control themselves so they don't cheat, just refeed.
Hey can you help me out here? Im 13 and want to burn off just the last bit of fat i have on my abs so i see my 8 pack, instead of just the six i have right now. But my problem is i have baseball for my school, so i cant lift weights or do excess working out than what i do at baseball which isnt alotq
This just confirmed everything I have been researching. You have a nice build to you so I guess I am heading down the right track just without as much muscle building, but I was about to start trying to build muscle since I have lost 20 pounds since march 5th. Just diet and cardio has got me down from 196 to 176.... my cholesterol and everything is dropping so it's starting to look good. I just wanted to say thanks for the extra info, and keep up the good work.
i read on bb.com that the absolute minimum amount of protein to retain and build muscle is 0.6g / lb body weight, but you say 1g minimum, who is correct?
@Ojf119 They are talking about the ABSOLUTE minimum. Meaning that no matter what you need to get 0.6g in, but what I'm saying is that under ideal circumstances to build lean muscle and lose fat the minimum should be 1g. Does that make sense?
is it weird than when i hit the gym or when i wake up i lose like 2 or 3 pounds
