It's very odd that you still haven't scanned the print. Anyway, it's probably a bug at fairly close range. Especially since you said you didn't see it when you composed the shot. An aircraft that big in the sky isn't likely to go unnoticed.
@livebigly Not odd at all; I'm just a bit lazy. I'm getting it done this week with my borther's scanner. Actually a valid area of resaearch would be to go back to the time I was there and see if there are any other sightings reports in that area. It could be an insect, as I explain below I can't prove otherwise. However it might turn out to be more.
@benthejrporter still the real question is why would aliens or UFO's come to earth in the first place then just leave but give us enough time to see them?
@Navysealsniper1324 I don't know NSS. This is one of the big questions of the who UFO phenomenon. It could be that they're not extraterrestrial, at least not from other planets, but they could be interdimensional, more like ghosts than solid objects.
@benthejrporter yea they were in service then but they were experimental so it was probably having a malfunction and go way to fast or the it was under remote control and pushing it to the limit. So that's why it wasn't there for a while.
@Navysealsniper1324 That can not be proved nor denied. I've still not had the print scanned! Maybe when I do it will reveal something more, but I'm not hopeful.
@Navysealsniper1324 This was in 1998; were they in service then? If so then I can't rule it out. But it was a quiet night and I was watching the sky a lot.
@deathbecomesu187 You can't possible be so certain; the image is too indistinct. It could be an insect, yes, but you can identify it's species!???? Get away! LOL
@justynspiteri0015 I can't rule it out unfortunately. However there were midges and other insects everywhere while I was on my hike, there tends to be in Scotland, and no other print on the roll shows anything like this.
I don't know what it is you've caught in that photo. But, are you sure you weren't sitting in a car at the time, shooting through the windshield? Because, I have to say, that looks an awful lot like an out-of-focus fly, close to the camera, to me - possibly one that has landed on a car windshield just a foot or two in front of the camera.
@BloatedSensations No, I was on foot. It could still be something like an insect I have to admit, maybe a wee Scottish midgy, but none of the other photoes on the roll have anything like this effect. Put this together with the location and I think it's worth presenting.
ctd... need a huge fleet of warships to do that. Oddly enough two of the four men who organized Highjump ended up on a psychiatric ward, Byrd and also Admiral James Forrestal. Forestal was murdered while in hospital. they said it was suicide and he jumped from an open window... but who'd leave a window open on a mental ward!? The year after Highjump there was another British military expedition to Antarctica and I met a man once who claims to have been part of it.
@buffboynick That's right, Capt Robert Sallas reports this openly. This is good news because if these weapons were ever fired in anger the UFO's would stop them... I hope!
@benthejrporter yeah, I believe so, at least some kind of a flying object ;-) I find Admiral Byrd diary very, very interesting, I also believe in everyword in in is log file. I mean, a man with such honour, such achievements and position wouldn't just blurb about something like that...
@benthejrporter And the thing is, he kept his promise to his superiors that shut him and never mentioned his experience for over 30 years to anyone but his diary. That's a man with much reliability and integrity. And the fact that the plain he flew was missing in three ours :-) So, yes. I believe your catch looks very much like Flugelrad. And, I don't think you would make up something like that either.
@benthejrporter The fact is when you see and experience a flying object like that, you have no choice but to believe :-D I was a sceptic too before I saw with my own eyes in 94' with my mom and her friend. We have stories about similar descriptions too in Greenland "Alliarutsit" (them under) which reminds me about them.
@benthejrporter The world famous danish expedition leader Knud Rasmussen collected and wrote down ancient Greenlandic stories and many of them actually sounds like alien encounters, small creatures with big eyes and no noses who have wonderful pointing weapons, and whom supposed to have kidnapped great hunters and made humiliating experiments...!
Now, Greenlanders don't make up things just for fun in the old days, everything had a meaning.
@Uummadaani Thanks for all those detailed comments, Uummadaani. They were very interesting. Places like Greeland are often overlooked by UFOlogists, being off the beaten track of Roswell and Rendlesham Forest etc, but that's clearly a mistake. I've not doubt a lot is going on in the polar regions that we're not told about. Admiral Byrd was diagnosed as mentally ill after Operation Highjump, a massive naval taskforce sent to supposedly establish scientific bases in Antarctica. Why did they... ctd
Don't you think it could just be an insect that is in the foreground and not in the background as you think it may be? I really think you would have seen that if it was there at the time you took the photo.
@Sozlled I can't rule it out. However UFO's and aliens appearing on film when they've been invisible to the photographer and not uncommon. The most famous case must be the "Solway Firth Spaceman". I've just realized I've not scanned the print yet; must get round to it. Maybe if I can magnify the image it miht give us a better idea.
Very interesting. A number of years ago Scotland was a hotbed of UFO sightings. There is a place called Bonniebrook or something up there that had sightings every day nearly (a military area?) Did you see the object at the time or did it just turn up on the photo?
@AZUREGLIDE It just showed up on the photo; never saw it at the time. It's Bonnybridge, and that flap is still going on. In fact, for its size, Scotland is the most UFO-ridden country in the world.
@JPOSBORNE Unfortunately the resolution is not good enough to be sure. A detailed scan inhancement, no matter how good, cannot enhance more visual information than is avaulable on the photo. I don't have the negatives any more I'm afraid.
Can't help but agree with the previous posting, but your honesty and forthright attitude does come through. So. What are we to make of it? Look forward to seeing what you do next. Orrabest K
@Kernas Thanks, mate. I'll do what I can. I'm hopefully getting it scanned up on Friday. Then of course it might be possible to enlarge and enhance that part of the print, but a detailed scan inhancement, no matter how good, cannot enhance more visual information than is avaulable on the photo. I don't have the negatives any more I'm afraid. The resolution may simply not be high enough to ever find an answer.
@benthejrporter Looking forward to seeing the image mate. By the way, there seems to be a lot of activity ref this kind of stuff recently. Can't say I've ever seen anything like it myself, but my ex boss did. Unfortunately he was killed in an aircraft crash back in 93! I used to fly his Socata TBM 700 with him in Japan, and if I hadn't have taken some strange advice, I would have been with him on that day.
Looks like a bug at very close range. You can even see the wings if you look closely. Ive captured the same using my webcam and motion detection software.

"it's been observed that UFO's very often congregate near nuclear power and weapons facilities."
yeah.....and there is reason for this lol
Those are typically the "good" aliens that have been known to deactivate our evil world government's nukes.
Most of the aliens that do this are the human-looking aliens that live in Inner Earth.
