I started out with nylon, but then upgraded to steel because i wanted to play more rock. Although what is better for fingerpicking? Nylon or Steel?

@beatlesfan831 I would hardly call that an "upgrade." Steel has more bite, it produces a crisper sound, also more full tonally. Nylon tends to sound a bit muffled under the fingers; it produces rich, warm overtones which are perfect for a mid-range or classical style of music but tend to throw off the screaming treble and growling bass of rock leads. Nylon usually has a much faster response compared to steel, but it lacks sustain which makes harmonics harder to hit and much less satisfying.

Yes, it appears to be an electro-acoustic classical guitar (Can't use nylon strings for electric guitars as the pickups cannot sense the non-magnetic material as it vibrates).
