WOW! Hell yeah! Love the B52's. Listening to a lot of B52's, Blondie, Hey You!, Joan Jett, No Doubt, and Patti Smith. We need more rockin' girls in 2011 !!!!
Hey You! is still pretty new, but they're waaaay dope. But they've got a cute chick singer and she ROCKS hard! you should check em out...
The B52s eles são demais.. ja não faz musicas boas como de primeiro. Hoje e somente modismo. não tem mais classicos como B52, Pink floid, Scorpion e claro o grande David Bowie que amo de paixão
I think Rolling Stone magazine is mostly to blame for the confusion between Ricky and Keith. I remember they had an article about them and they said Keith was the guitarist which, for the time, wasn't wrong but they said that Ricky was the drummer, Implying that Keith was always the guitarist. So there you go.
@harias37 te apoyo!!! la música de los 80 s fué the best of the best!! B-52, debería seguir vigente, no ha habido otros como ellos, su música era super para bailar!! les pongo un diez!!
@mzzh Yeah, she's so stylish and sexy spanking those skins, and we won't even discuss Kate(Oh my goodness! Umph!) These funky chicks from Athens, Georgia have got it! Who would have 'thunk' it? "Whoa oh oh KATE, Kate, Cindee ee... These are the girls of the U S A, the principle girls of the U S A!" The main 2 of "52". I'm craving the Party Mix.
I saw these guys in concert twice at Ravinia in Illinois......I never really saw the show because both times I danced my ASS OFF the whole time. Excellent
I was there in 1985, one of the best moments ever. I saw them again in the funplex turne in Orlando this year. Cindy still dances and sing with the same energy. Check pump, the new hit.
I am Brazilian and I would never guess what she had said. Once you tell us it is in Brazilian Portuguese, I could guess it was "Festa", in a real Rio de Janeiro accent. Dragging the shhh sound. LOL
What a unique tune!!...I hope the B-52s are remembered for their inventiveness, not just a band with catchy melodies...and Kate, thanks for wearing that mini!!
I've been listening to this song for 26 years and this is the shit! Cindy is right there.. just jammin! What the hell did we do without Youtube in the 80's ! You kids now-a-days are soo fricken LUCKY! All I could do is stare at my albums and wonder what it would be like! IT STILL IS A PART OF MY SOUL TO THIS DAY.. AND FOR THE REST OF YA.. DON'T LET GO!
Whoa I didn't think I'd ever see Ricky playing a Stratocaster! I really like the sound of it from 2:00 to 2:10 (Doesn't sound like that in the studio version)
Ricky Wilson appears on the left at 1:25 between his sister Cindy (in the blond wig) and George. Again at 1:50. There are close-ups of Ricky at 2:05, 4:05 and 5:05. I think this was his last tour. From what I remember 20 years ago, he felt sick after this tour. About 5 months later in October '85 he died
Tal vez este sea uno de los mejores festivales de rock de los 80. Sólo pasen una vista a todas las bandas que se presentaron, de todos los géneros y lugares posibles. Fantástico.

this is my favorite song by perhaps my all-time favorite band....I will NEVER forget the first time, in 1980, when I slipped the needle onto that 33 1/3 vinyl LP....and heard "Surpriiiiise......Paaaaaaaaaaarrrrr-tyyy!!!!" for the first time ever....
I was in a dorm room full of B-52 fans....and we all went APE-SHIT! Good times!
1985...OK, on further inspection, I found two shots of the guitarist early on...he certainly didn't look "sick" at this point, but anything could have made him decline quickly. Overall, in rationalizing my last post, I think the shots are REALLY off of Mr. Wilson (guitar)...but then again, he was kicking ass to even show up!!
Where the hell is Ricky Wilson? I can hear really classic guitar riffs, and see Cindy and her other bro, but was he on MIDI and actually dying in some hospital of AIDS? Where is he?

party out of bounds was an album they releases in limited edition that was all longer dance remixes of their songs plus some new ones. It was amazing. I left mine in a hot car one summer in the 8os and it warped. I have been looking for a replacement ever since... amazing album made for partying.
