@rdjawoody I understand what you mean by it's the Governments issue and not the church but I'd have to disagree first stating some things, why? 1-Churches of true Christianity have not existed for awhile now, and many "church" people were not in one housed place, in the bible the "Church" is followers of Gods commandments and his people with Jesus at the foundation, the Modern concept of a housed Church is way different then before even though SOME churches did exist in Jesus time.

He did not want to rule them in error. So there is no problem with ruling people according to religion, the leader and establishment just needs to not be corrupt or tyrannical. The government knows that religion when applied correctly unifies, helps and turns people away from negative things, dictating politics differently.

He did not want to rule them in error. So there is no problem with ruling people according to religion, the leader and establishment just needs to not be corrupt or tyrannical. The government knows that religion when applied correctly unifies, helps and turns people away from negative things, dictating politics differently.

It's not about man's words, the preachers made up sentences about the Bible, words that sound cool and rhyme well...But actually words form the Bible then interpretation after which lead to fekllowship. @teriiura in the first bible slavery was preached, and slave-owners throughout the centuries have always used these scriptures for the crimes they were doing. the first bible was the base for the enslavement of africans, native americans and other black races both in north america and south america ... since lincoln a lot has changed, but there's still mental slavery because of ppl holding on to the first bible, which is the bible of slavery in all areas : emotionally, mentally, physically.

@secondbible it is true the bible talks about slavery,however slavery at that time was permitted to repay a debt within 7 years,just like a credit card (if you have one).Moreover the master ought to treat his slave well,and the bible described the law for that.

@teriiura maybe u should read the bible better. that what u mention were the lighter forms of slavery, but don't forget the heavier forms, like selling ur daughter into sex-slavery, ex.21:7-11 and lev. 25:44-46 to purchase slaves from foreigners, and even their children ! to treat them as property, passing them on to ur children as a permanent inheritance !! and Ex. 21:2-6 shows a 7 yrs-slave can only free his wife and children by becoming a permanent slave, so who r u trying to fool ?
