in races like these how do u determine whos the winner?

they are judged on angle of the drift, speed of the drift. and how close they get to the outside of the track with the rear wheels. the person following has to stay as close as possible and while doing all of the above.

once they have done one run, they run again but swap over, so the chase car is then the lead car.

well for starters they are in an actual d1gp event, and those cars dont have stock engines, i assure you they tune them to their full capacities, and not to forget that the silvia is in fact lighter then the er34, giving it a big advantage

The Rb26 is the GTR engine the all wheel drive version of the car. It is twin turbo but it can very easily be single turbo just by a change of the manifold. For example you can take the manifold from the Rb25 engine, the rear wheel drive version that came in the R33 and R34, and use the single turbo.

Single normally gives better response. You would never use a GTT turbo on a GTR only an upgraded one and i dont actually thing a GTT manifold bolts on as easy as described.
