  • This is one "blushing" video. =p

  • This video is a favorite on Tegucigalpa

  • My son has one, he also has exceed rc buggie, i standardized all his batteries with 2, 7.4 lipo, boat ran for over 45 minutes.

only problem was he hit a tree sticking up out of the water and broke one of his props.

Getting a replacement prop was a challange.

I e-mailed there tech support and here is there response:

  • I'm gonna make mine brushless!

120 amp esc and a feigao 540XL motor

On 6S lipo power! It's gonna be

    Pushing

    60mph when I'm done with it :)

  • @1501HP How do u do that??? I really want to get my rc boat to 60 mph!

  • @BobbyPlane6252

    its not easy.

    heres my build thread

i have a thread on the byt forum about it

  • Could I use a 3s lipo in this? (12.6v)

  • @1501HP I don't know, I never tried. The electronics board may not be able to handle it, and I have no idea how many Amps it draws.

  • I have better battery performance (about 20 minutes) with alot of full throttle and full power turns (leaving throttle pegged, while turning) My only complaints are the battery charger (5 hours to charge and only from household current?!) I paid $44.00 for mine, and would have paid $50 for the same package with a second battery, since they don't seem to offer additional batteries at the store...I'll be looking on-line for additional batteries, and an updated fast charger

  • @ltd4all Any 7.2 volt battery will do fine, Nicad or Nimh. If you ask at your local hobby store they'll probably show you plenty of options. As for the charger, I used the one my Multiplex Easy star came with, Hitec CG207 (usually on eBay). It's easy enough to find an old cigarette outlet plug and do some soldering to get it to work without opening the hood. Also, the Skyfly2 has a 120VAC -> 12VDC converter which can be found at Tower Hobbies (and likely at your local hobby shop).

  • I race electric monster trucks, I have a stampede vxl that does 80mph and I outfitted my boat with a custome battery holder and use 6 cell batterys. I even put an 8 cell battery thats 9.6 volts it flew!!

  • we rarely get the boats back on returns and the yellow bees last unless you crash them, they handle good on a calm day and take off easy, good for beginner use

  • How long does it hold a charge? It looks really quick for a Harbor Freight throw away toy. I am impressed.

  • the battery it comes with lasts around 10 minutes before performance starts going down. But when it goes down, it goes down FAST.

  • I have also found that it's very durable, it will jump buoys, land sideways and keep going, or the nose comes down too hard and it goes under for five feet. It's very fun just trying to kill it.

  • I have ran one of these with a 9.6v 8 cell. It ran like a scalded cat. 14.4v will fry the electronics.

  • @warkillspeople Recently I've gotten thoughts of upgrading it to work with my DX6i, since I gutted the thing a few months after this was shot, but I didn't have a budget for new stuff at the time... Know of any good watercooled stuff to throw in? I think I've found a good throttle-rudder mixer, but I'm always open to suggestions.

  • no its harbor freight there are 300 plus throughout the country
