  • Alton, I thought you were smarter than that. That's called a cup of coffee with milk and foam. Nothing more.

  • Please demo a vacuum/syphon brewer, the aeropress and the hario drip.

  • @davideshafer "it looks like muddy water and tastes like turpentine!"

  • For those of you who want an easy way to steam milk. A second french press can froth milk very easily.

  • that little french press is SOO CUUUTEE everytime i see it my heart melts, omg

  • @TheWeeklyTelegram Those of us who served in the Navy had to use cream and suger to get passed the taste of bad coffee. So I hope you'll forgive us.

  • i dont worship anyone or anything but if i did, it's be Alton Brown

  • @deadworthy he reminds me of Bill Nye the science guy, only with food.

  • WTF did he get the steamed milk from?

  • I havent had cable in years but "Good Eats" and the Japanese orignal "Iron Chef" sure were great programs. The newer American version of "Iron Chef" just was not the same as the exotic Japanese Version.

  • dude needs to lay off the meth.

  • Alton rules. Best show on the network.

  • For those of you looking to froth your own milk, go to amazon dot com and search for the Aerolatte.. Works perfectly, and demos can be seen all over youtube..

  • I love a good mug first thing in the morning, got some good brand ideas from coffeeloverstipsandtricks (.) com

  • I thought he was gonna pump the milk in the french press to get it frothy. Obtaining the coffee isn't the hard part--it's getting the frothy milk that's difficult for most

  • God i love this show lol

  • the most difficult part, steaming milk, wasn't included! I know how to press coffee how the heck do you steam milk without an espresso machine?

  • Only one question--where is the foamy steamed milk supposed to come from if I don't have an expresso machine?? Is there a good, cheap technique?

  • @jethrox999 you can buy an electric 'milk frother' whisk for ~$20 . Aerolatte is one popular brand. You heat milk and use that little gadget to whip up a foam.

  • Freiling french press is the best. Much better taste and 100x longer lasting and machine washable than Bodum or other crappy presses.

  • @neraknerak1 Bodum is the gold standard in french press. Freiling? GTFO.

  • @Linas03 Eva solo's cafe solo > any french press. The plunge accentuates bitters.

  • with the cost of a burr grinder to get course ground, you can buy an espresso machine.

  • This method has a lower percentage of milk than a coffee house cafe latte, which uses espresso. I like to have a higher percentage of milk than the coffee houses! In a french press you can use 2% milk instead of water. Just microwave or heat it previously to just just below the boiling point and brew for 4 minutes. Too many milk solids can clog the press, so finish steaming it afterwards. Best latte ever! Try with chai masala! Pour from the tea bags as milk doesn't infuse well otherwise

  • This guy is excellent.

  • i think that guy had already too much coffee

  • ya, including the three lines of coke he did before they turned the camera on..lol

  • ,,,Sir,,,You should DO... this no T.V ,Nice JOB..,When I use the F.Press I`m getting an earthy or a dirty or like a all bass taste,, But Im used to drip coffee I have to take it to a F,press master and find out if it should taste like this,, But no grounds are in the brew I went out to buy a very fresh Eothpian and a columbin all taste the same ,,,Do I realy need a burr grinder,,,I understand why the drip style maker is used so much,,,,,thanx P,S please comment

  • hmvoil sniff. where's my pocket pro! tector hoils

  • Silly me, I've always referred to that as a cafe' Au lait (coffee with milk). Latte's are great for espresso's but nuttin beat's the french press for great coffee!!

  • @Phewy One good comment deserves another good comment! (better late than never). I never use anything else.

  • alton is a lot funnier.
