  • just beatiful

  • 0.38-.56, murders my innards. Magnificent

  • The 26th second of this song killed me... And sent me all the way to fucking heaven.

  • You know I never have been able to aptly describe how i felt the first time i watched Eraserhead.

Somehow I feel Black Francis just said it all. Only took him 1 minute and 52 sec.

  • spine tingling.

  • The Pixies = 57th greatest band ever!!!!!!!

  • rare!

  • 11 are pissed off because they are going to hell

  • HEARTTTTATTAAACK AT 0:26!!! AHHHHH!!!!(Dead)

  • I think this is my favourite song in the whole world. or, it shares the first place with the Pixie's "Wave of Mutilation" , not the fast version, but the really really slow version..

  • PIxies: best band of the eighties!

  • From what album is the cover with Hitler & Little Girl?

  • shit us brits know are rock and roll (i know the pixies are american i meant the recordin)

  • @TheShakiebreaks wow douche its a live album.........

  • @85mariapatricia yea recorded at the bbc duuuuhhh

  • 8 people aren't so fine because they are in hell

  • dude seriously where did you get this version at? i really need to know.

  • @BryanSomedayzTV live @ the BBC

  • @pitilesss In fact you can find it the single Gigantic (Surfer Rosa) , it's a face B of the single actually.

  • @pitilesss this is live...holy shit...

  • @Toast579 I saw them live a couple of years ago visiting a big natural ampitheatre in west australia and at the point where Frank started screaming in one of the song, his voice was echoing from the sheer power around the ampitheatre and there was thousands of stunned and elated people just awestruck. It felt like a moment of pure almost pornographically intense power. Frank is a terrifying singer and I'm so fucking glad I've seen him live.

  • @BryanSomedayzTV its on the bbc sessions CD

  • Pixies, my second favorite band, did a cover of my favorite scene from my favorite movie ever! I shoulda known they would be doing an Eraserhead cover up!

  • I could keep favoriting all pixies songs in youtube I would not stop

  • Haven't seen Eraserhead but I like this version better.

  • any one kno where i can find this version of the song. every time i look i can only find the live audio

  • Awesome cover, I belive Kim played the original theme from "Eraserhead" in Boston.

  • i love the the pixies but this one is a fail. Not much eraserhead-mood in this oine.

  • @Vesters1 don't need it. people need to get over their own ideas about what covers "should" be. Johnny Cash has hit records/singles in 50 decades based mostly on covers and is maybe the most respected/heralded American musician ever.

  • Thumbs down for this piece of poo rendition

  • @MrChickenpants Die.

  • @Tedfirth1992 You die mother fucker. Plus you suck at guitar. Try playing a solo that is not in one position and consists of >6 notes

  • @MrChickenpants Die.

  • @MrChickenpants Die.

  • @MrChickenpants

    Die.

  • @LamaPaj @LamaPaj I was going to try to come up with a clever response to the guy who commented "Die" (no pun intended) but the horrible sound of this clip has forced me to leave. Slayer such BTW. You should try to listen to music that has at least some melody buddy

  • @MrChickenpants slayer? over the pixies? wtf is wrong with you. you clearly don't appreciate the source of this cover being eraserhead

  • @MrChickenpants haha wow dude your kind of a douche. so what if you dont like a song. doesnt mean that no one else should like it. that's a very ignorant mindset you have going on there

  • @ContraryCartel O man : ( I am sick of having to look at the posts of "die" and whatever this guy said. Not because of the posts themselves, so much as having my ears bleed from hearing this fucking shit song (in my humble opinion of course).

  • Oh my god. The Pixies, and David Lynch are two of my favorite things. After watching Eraserhead I wanted to cover this song. Of all the bands to think of it first I can't believe it was one of my favorites. This makes me so happy.

  • Where did you find the picture of Hitler holding the little girl? That's really fucking awesome and I haven't able to find it anywhere else

  • And Wikipedia said the Pixies were an alternative rock band. Hahaha!

  • I thought it was common knowledge that Smells like Teen Spirit was directly ripped off from More than a Feeling by Boston, with a little bit of Debaser thrown in for good measure....

  • I like how they put the Mosh into it.

  • Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • fucking love this!

  • Jeepers I sure love 'em...these Pixies I mean.

  • eraserheadddddd :D

  • I love the Pixies but this version is one of my fav off all there tracks. Frank does an amazing job.

  • no way in deciding whether i like this version or the one with Kim's vocals. Awesome song, Eraserhead is such a mind fuck

  • @bluefeykate Yeah or awesome. Nirvana was deeply influenced by these guys. Basically nirvana wouldnt exsist without the Pixies. Kurt said 'Smells like teen spirit" was a pixies rip off.

  • @KristopherJunior that has nothing to do with the quality of this song. i like some pixies songs but this is terrible. he sounds like a screeching monkey...

  • @KristopherJunior it was a stylistic "rip off". the actually song is not based on any pixies songs.

  • @roejogan8 yeah i know. He meant the whole soft heavy soft heavy formula

  • @KristopherJunior yeah - you can really tell if you play guitar. i think he was referring to 'something against you' from surfer rosa

  • @KristopherJunior they would have existed, just not in the same way. Bleach, their first album, wasn't inspired by the pixies (moreso by the melvins and early sound garden), and it sounded much different from their post-nevermind stuff (which was inspired b the pixies). So they probably would have made a lot of the same old same old that was comming out of Seattle at the time.

  • this is the best cover ever made and im not sayibg that because i like the pixies because im not a fan this is the best cover of history of covers

  • man i love Isaac Brock, but Frank just beat him on this one

  • Love it.

  • i died laughing when i saw black francis climbing the couch on that new tim and eric clip

  • Beautiful!

  • So f@ckin' great....

  • i love the pixies and i loved this song from eraserhead but this cover was a bit disappointing. thought they would have done in a little differently.

  • best damn cover

    PERIOD! xD

  • This version is ok but the original is better

  • Poesía.., pura y dura.

    5*

  • @xan1967 La canción es de una película de David Lynch y puedes encontrar el pedazo de esa parte de la película en YouTube, sólo en caso de que no supieras de dónde venía.

  • @xlicix Gracias por el enlace .

    Un saludo

  • best cover ever. and a damn strange movie. I like it, but it perplexes me ever so.

  • It perplexes everyone mate, I'm clueless about it but I enjoy the ambiguity of it, I like that compared to the themes being outlined clearly. This cover got me to watch that film, for that I'm thankful.

  • Eraserhead is like the Pixies in many ways-utterly compelling, yet nothing makes sense. I love both though.

  • yawn

  • best version of this song i've ever come across. i just wish they would let me play this song in work!

  • i think the movie is making fun of birth/commitment/marriage and over all relationship's and humans in general

  • That is exactly what it is about!

  • This song is so epic. Eraserhead is such a creepy movie. i watched the whole thing by my self. i still dont understand most of it...

  • ive seen it like 5 times. still makes no sense.

  • @KyUHLz it's pretty simple really, it's just about anxiety and love and things like that - the logic is more like a dream logic than reality

  • this song makes me want to scream until I'm in tears. Whenever a song makes you feel that, it's fucking awesome!

  • Uncanny.

  • God, I love this band. It was a really great thing of them to use the song from Eraserhead. If any other band had done that, I probably would have been mad. Awesome band, great song, and great movie. Thanks a lot for uploading this. By the way, comment voting sucks.

  • The Meteors came out with an album called In heaven...

  • Okay...

  • Modest Mouse did.

  • I need an MP3 of this. Can someone hep me out?

  • You can download the entire discography from isohunt. There is a better version than this one too. The Discography comes with both. Or a few maybe.

  • FB is the shit man.

  • please send me that song...

  • I remember I was thinking that my band should cover the song, man was I bummed out when I found out the Pixies had already done it.

  • i thought the same!

but im glad they did it

  • hard to top the pixies version.

  • I wonder who thumbs downed me for my opinion.sorry i should have put "in my opinion".I like the original,I have the original on my myspace page.I just like this better because it sends shivers up my spine.

  • You find this more chilling than the Eraserhead version??? That movie was one of the most oddly disturbing films I've sat through, and that is one of the scenes that sticks out to me most.

  • Absolutely.

  • way better than the original.

  • is that hitler in the second pic?

  • uh huh, not sure why

    but yes lol

  • paura e panico..

  • ERASERHEAD!

  • WEIRD F@CKN MOVIE

  • There's a Modest Mouse song like this...

    Workin' On Leavin' The Livin'.

  • thats crazy they made a rendition of this song... its fuckin sick though!

  • I don't know about you but I feel quite moved when he starts screaming "IN HEAVEN EVERYTHING IS FINE"

I think this is a great rendition.

  • in heaven everything is fine¡!

    it's true.

  • everything is NOT fine

  • ooooopps! This rocks!!!!! I can see that some people cannot understand the point. Well, if you are the STUPIDO, you are a STUPIDO!!!!!!!!

  • i agree with you! its nothing compared to the origonal... just a personal opinion, but i think alot of the disturbingness has been taken away? something that made it good in the first place i think.

  • I don't think it is terrible, I think the original was better, but then nothing is ever better then the original.

  • Sometimes they are. Just not often.

  • All subjective I guess. To me there's something ironic, ferocious and bittersweet about this heavy version.

  • Agreed, actually. It has none of the feel of the original.

  • I agree, and the people that gave your comment thumbs down are sad!

  • ooo, the lady in the radiator...creepy. Love this song :)

  • fuck you man, thats not what the pixies are about. you fail, gtfo

  • Maybe they covered it because it's an amazing song? After I watched Eraserhead, the scene stuck to me longer than others.

  • @admiralmoses probably because its got the only sound that isnt made to numb your mind. that film is brilliant.... i think, maybe awful

  • @admiralmoses From his use of Un Chein Andalou as inspiration on Debaser, I just think he loves surrealism.

  • I love this song, thanks!! I love the Pixies, I love Kim Deal!!!

  • I am in Heaven, and in Heaven everything is fine.
