you get the .iso at the backtrack website in the "downloads" area. Copy it to a DVD.

google backtrack linux you will see the website

Then when you run the vmware, you choose to run the dvd's ISO file for backtrack.

make sure your wireless card is compatable & you have a bit of room on your computer.

Also, you can find the "how to" on youtube everywhere for anything you want. Write/type down each step while you watch the video as well in a document & save that as well.

Go to the backtrack linux website & save an ISO (image file) to a DVD.

When you're in VM, you will read the backtrack's ISO from the dvd.

You can find directions in here for how to use backtrack & what to type in. Make sure your wireleess card is compatable. You can google a lookup on this as well. When you "set up a new workstation" it will give you the option of WHERE you want to read from.... that's when you pick the DVD's ISO image file.

WATCH OUT THOSE WHO WANT TO INSTALL THIS VMWARE, I CHANGED THE INSTALL PATH FROM C'Programms TO Desktop and i forget to create a folder on desktop..., and the consequence was all the stuff, DLL files and all that, were copyed to my desktop, and the desktop seemingly doesnt have so much space and the consequence was all my stuff on the desktop was deleted.... after i looked on the capacity of my harddisk it was nearly empty. only my data on C'Programs is not hitted from this catastrophe
