  • ME CAGO EN ACTIMEL Y LOS PUTOS ANUNCIOS DE ESTE CANAL

  • Radiohead, makes an inspirational video about embracing death, 1mil views. Mainstream music; mostly about finding someone and wanting to shag their brains out 500mil views. Clearly society is retarded.

  • @echoingheads Good sense and good taste have always been the privilege of the minority it seems. Wonder what the world would be like if no one were dumb.. :)

  • @MrEnterthehole I think there might be different standards... like super geniuses are seen as intelligent and smart people are dumb... but yeah... that's defiantly got me thinking....

  • @echoingheads It isn't surprising to me that more of the poplulation is interested in sex rather than death. However, I agree that radiohead produce better music than most people in the charts.

  • beautiful

  • "I recently for my job photographed the bass players house - Awesome guy, highlight of my job so far, I had to hold myself back from .."

luckily for us your job is not writing

  • @gnaples douche bag

  • I imagine listening to this song while I float through the clouds in the sky as if it were heaven.

  • well, i just shat my load! god bless haze and this song together!

  • the animatrix lead me to this

  • The timing makes me sick! I can't figure it out!

  • @Alpinestars91 its simple 4/4, but the way the piano part goes its so confusing and genius

  • I was in that water before...

  • @jethrodassam Fuck off.

  • @TheBoredProle No thank you.

  • @TheBoredProle fuck you

  • @Cwally72 Do I know you?

  • @jethrodassam A Jennifer Lopez fan can't appreciate this? Go figure.

  • @123Cynical Nope, go figure.

  • why this counter just show my plays?

  • @monto1006 *why does this ...

  • there is just so much in this song, took my a while to get into radiohead when i was just getting nto them but now their songs just feel so real to me.

  • This is the official version? Is there any chance the sound quality could be ANY shitter?

  • 4,414 people in the world i would happily talk to in a bar.

  • @tomYTism and 81 bar fights i would happily start.

  • I didn't think there was a way to make this sad melancholy song sadder and more melancholy but...there it is.

  • During my daily jogging, when this song pops up from the radiohead playlist I listen to, its like collapsing in another world...

...there are no words to describe the feelings I get from it...

I finished training 1 hour ago, and Im still listening to this masterpiece on youtube...

1 of the best songs ever!

  • this garbage,,,,, is not like karma police or creep or fake plastic trees

  • @molkoneo ------RH is obviously WAY too ahead of you, try again in at least a few years...

  • @molkoneo then again, those are more radio friendly songs than this one sir (:

  • I dont like,,,,,,,,,,,, its a borring song there is no melody ,,,,,,there is nothing good in this video

,,,,,,,,,,,,,Placebo and Interpol are the best ohhh yeah

  • @molkoneo The people that criticize this song are too used to radio music. Radio friendly songs won't use different tempos on it, they just use 4/4, thats why sounds so weird. so, yeah, don't be such a square

  • Only 1,000,000? What has happened to music?

  • top class

  • Beauty

  • this is my favourite song!

  • Always reminded me of that scene in Waterworld. I'll admit I liked that film (dont hate) =p

  • Have searched for this song a very long part of my life heard it when i was like 7-8 maybe but anyways damn i had awesome taste o: . Btw this song is 2 fucking good3

  • :'(

  • Anyone have any idea what the glowing dots are at the end of the video?

  • @starofcctv94 Souls who are going to heaven (?)

  • 81 people did not like Demi Lovato staring at them as they listened to this rad song.

  • trippy stuff

  • probably the song of my life. damn, this is speaking to me like nothing else does in this world. It's chaotic but flawless, deseperate but hopefull, real but theatrical, obvious but cryptical.

  • I geuss my son just inherited my good taste in music!

  • Just I want to say

    Wonderful and...

    thanks Radiohead for this song

  • cracker tune and video

  • @philbag85 Take your racist garbage elsewhere. You don't like it, don't watch it.

  • @jaydubyuel what u on about

  • What kind of feeling does this song can inspire you? I would like to know your point of view.

  • @Tigreloaded When I first read the lyrics I thought that it was about suicide, a man's last thoughts before he died.

  • Not sure if this is illuminati propaganda with all these hidden metaphors (there are many that could be consider as their symbols) or they're just trying to show us that they really escaped the pyramid and their influence (and there are not many alive or free artists/people that succeeded in this). But I hope it's the second option because it's a great and lovely song that sounds really peaceful at all.

  • @Stuchlo I'm not sure about the title, but I think the lyrics are based on Dante's Divine Comedy:

"Jumped in the river, what did I see?" - Dante crosses the Styx on his way into Hell

"Black-eyed angels swam with me" - refers to the fallen angels who work in Hell

"A room full of stars and astral cars" - this is relevant to when Dante asceneds to Heaven

"And all the things I used to see" - Dante meets people from his past

I can't fit in the second verse but it has the same paralells.

  • I know chords are just chords but these ones aren't your regular bunch. They, and the whole atmosphere, seem to be swiped wholesale from cult Brit songwriter Simon Warner's "Waiting Rooms" from 1997. Both great tunes but I never had Radiohead down as being so blatantly light fingered.

  • @blackmore4 (Un)wishful thinking? The first bit of the song has the same key, but seeing as Waiting Rooms sounds so busy with orchestration it's not surprising that there are a few similar notes. It IS possible for two artists/bands to create similar music without copying each other, especially if they have common inspirations (namely a kind of Middle Eastern vibe in this case).

As for atmosphere? I don't get the same feeling off it as Pyramid Song at all.

  • i dont understand why everyone likes this band its not the best thing i have ever heard

  • @Sxramble basically because their talent is unmatched..the time changes in this song are incredible as are the lyrics. But shit if you don't like it thats just your taste, cant blame you if its not your type of sound.

  • this is what judgement day looks like, love radiohead

  • The ash hung low, the skeletal remains of a cigarette, his long, blackened fingers holding the filter, while headlight shadows danced unconsidered on the wall. A half-drunk glass beside an empty bottle of cheap rum on the table beside him. Another lay on its side beneath his legs, a sticky pool evaporated beneath its lip. In the calignosity, the dirty razor sat motionless atop the filth encrusted demin. As it had been for aeons, the travail required to employ it was still too great.

  • if i listen to it long enough it makes me tear up...

  • Seeing them in March <3

  • One of the most haunting RH songs ever made...ever.

You die. You go to hell and face the river of damned souls. Saw all the people he loved, and lost. Saw heavenly bodies overhead, and was granted a reprieve. Sailed to heaven in a little rowboat.

Anyone read "dante's inferno?" theres a lot of symbolism here.

There was nothing to fear, nothing to doubt.

    absolutely brilliant.

  • before ye judge it like or dislike just listen to it .listen. stop everyday shit and listen , listen to the story behind it , i dont care if ur not into dis music just listen and go into your own world distract yourself from your own and listen to deepness

  • @www9311 ok. Not everyone is going to like radiohead as their fav. Nothing special about you bud, sorry.

  • @www9311, sorry, little people are interested, well done for being a sheep.

  • @www9311 Good for you. Enjoy your music, I'll enjoy mine. :)

  • @www9311 "Jumped in the river, what did I see? The Black Eyed Peas swam with me..."

  • @www9311 blackeyed peas are putting america back to work!

  • @www9311 considering they have multiple chart topping songs/albums, and have had their albums declared best of 2 different decades (90s and 00s) by some highly respected music mags, i don't think they're very hipster (: just sayin'!

  • @1twinsfan4ever1 Anyone with an IQ larger than their shoe size acknowledges them as the best band in the world...just sayin ( sorry couldn't resist x)

  • Just one word: Amazing

  • Radio Song - Pyramid Head

  • @toxic2waste what are you talking??!

  • when those drums kick in @2:05 ...it's like everything falls and apart and rebuilds itself at the exact same time. shattering and solidifying in tandem.

it feels like a lot of radiohead's music is built - even if unintentionally - on these sorts of contradictions.

  • I recently for my job photographed the bass players house - Awesome guy, highlight of my job so far, I had to hold myself back from telling him how much I loved their music , they must get it all the time, I slipped at the end telling him it was an honour and a pleasure :)

  • @MrTarff Really?, that's awesome! lucky You ;)

  • @MrTarff You love their music but didn't know colin's (the bass player) name? Wasn't that embarrassingly awkward?

  • @Cyclothymia08 I'm sure thingy didnt mind.

  • this song haunts me... as if i am falling down an abyss in slow mo... never to reach the bottom.. never to see the surface again... no song ever made me feel this way...

  • @karthikgurumurthy me to... weird...

  • Not trying to sound like a pretentious wang (because I hate them more than anyone) but I find it hilarious that there is an ad under the video for "Rihanna - You Da One".

  • I think this is the best music video in history. Incredible.

  • this music summarizes so many things, an entire spiritual way of thinking. it's like God had whipsered those words in Thom's ear.

  • melodias que enamoran con cada vibracion transmitidaa!!!

    letras que te vuelven inmensoo!!!

    RADIOHEAD eres poesia paganaa <3<3

  • one of the best pieces of "pop" (i.e., non-classical) music of all time, and I dare to say, one of the few examples of greatness in this rather dull era of popular culture (so inferior to the 1960s, 70s, 80s). Radiohead are true giants.

  • @jumbojoggings Obvious troll. Try harder...

  • @samlun777 troll?

  • @jumbojoggings Haha, very funny

  • @jumbojoggings Yeah Troll . Like in you live underground far away from all the beautifull things life has to offer.Like this masterpiece

  • @jumbojoggings GO DIE!!!

  • Just the best song/film clip pairing ever....Why do people like Vakojob bother? Tell me the bands you like so I can go in and insult them...or get a life

  • this is what makes me not like to youtube radiohead songs

so many people leaving comments think there fucking philosophers

  • Changed my life

  • this song is like an offspring of Videotape and The Eraser.

  • 78 people don't have a soul.

  • amnesiac has been my favorite creation of radioheads, easily

  • I think better lyrics would have been "Jumped in the river what did I see? A big black cloud hanging over me"

Regardless, it's still a great song. Overtones of Buddhism to it (Siddhartha and all that wheel of life mantra).

  • @degree7 Yeah, because a black cloud is totally not something that is overused and unoriginal. Black eyed angels are much better - adds a lot more to the song. People would identify with a black cloud, true - but black eyed angels swimming adds more of the dream element that the rest of the song also adds...

    Maybe don't be so retarded?

Also - nothing to do with buddhism. Either relax how much you speak on things until you grow a little older or simply stfu

    if your older that is.

  • @karmacrab

I'm still kind of reeling from this slanderous attack that was unleashed upon me by some keyboard cowboy. But let me regain my composure to make some points.

A black cloud is a folk/rock trope, true, but its a classic and effective one. WHile I have nothing against "black eyed angels", the idea of a black cloud just seems a better fit to me. It's just a bit too much of a gothic element for my taste.

  • @karmacrab As for having nothing to do with Buddhism, you're quite simply wrong on this account. The lyrics "Jumped in the river what did I see" should be enough of a no-brainer for anyone with half a microbe in their skull to see the obvious connection to Siddhartha, what more with the narrators past life coming to the forte with previous lovers (Kamala), and the unity of both his past/present/and future. Then he sails in a rowboat (across the river of space and time). Idiot.

  • @degree7 are you suggesting that anyone with half a microbe in their skull should have a good knowledge of Buddhism? 'tis but a foolish claim!

  • @MrHappyfuntimeskayak

I was mostly just talking to Karmacrab. After all, he has the word "Karma" in his username. He of all people should see the connection.

But I guess it isn't really too obvious until it's explained.

  • perfect for amnesiac, perfect song

  • I jumped in the river, what did I see? Black eyed angel swam with me (8) <3 Fucking awesome music.

  • I used to sing like this, then I took an arrow to the knee..

  • Son: Dad what is sex?

Father: It's when a dick goes into a vagina.

    Son: Dad what is Radiohead?

Father: I'll tell you when you're older...

  • Beautiful

I resent having to do a Turing test to post this!

  • i died

  • Rapture?

  • so fucking good

    so fucking great

    no words can describe

    fuck me i love Radiohead

  • @NSRenegades dont mind if i do, jk

  • I always like their most popular songs without knowing they're popular... dang.

  • fucking ads.

  • 3 bars of 9/8 and one bar of 6/8, if anyone is curious ;)

  • @bigfoot9754 sounds a bit tool-esque with those tim sigs.... try 13.5/8 in their song schism

  • @bigfoot9754 it's actually just 4/4 bro, he's just not hitting every chord on the one

  • The harmony is that timeless Phrygian mode flamenco progression: the lyrics take you to your own pondering of eternity. Radiohead's masterful fusion, synthesis of so many influences & forms, put's them in a class of their own. The performance esp the singing fits it perfectly. Radiohead : Bravo ! we all hope that you contine on for many many years (earth time ~).

  • Utterly mesmerizing..

  • @biolovescss thats the name of the game

  • am i missing something all i heard whas anaaaah awaaalallaalalalaaldkfals

  • @HTBPFilms the point.

  • @HTBPFilms That's the point (2)

  • According to Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien, upon hearing an early version of the recording of Pyramid Song, singer Thom Yorke declared it "the best thing we've committed to tape, ever."

  • @jeffclaypool1

    who's god?

  • @ignuu he's dat guy who keeps torturing us and forces us to worship him or we would burn and suffer for eternity... sometimes i think it turns him on..

  • Nothing to fear, nothing to doubt. I think this song is about finding your place in this world, even if it is not a conventional one.

  • I got to see how the Shynola animators created this video-it was quite a special moment :)

  • Mi favorita!!!!

gracias tOm x esas bellas canciones

  • There was nothing to fear, and nothing to doubt.

  • they removed the dancing vevo sign :(

  • grandi Radiohead!!! vi aspetto a Firenze a luglio

  • Illuminati slaves!

  • okay so why is "one direction" listed as a suggestion after this?

  • Seriously.....how the fuck did they come up with the swing beat with the piano going solo? Its just genius....

  • @lonewolf604 I really have no idea. If I was their drummer I would have shit myself on this song.

  • Well, I hope my neighbors like this song..

  • I'm pretty sure that's jizz coming out pf my ear, but I'm not sure.

  • An anthem that the simple word 'like' doesn't scratch the surface of....

  • This song makes me envision ducks in winter. Full of German Haikus and needle point movie screens. The wonderful taste of Leicester cheese is nothing compared to the trombones I eat while listening to this.

  • This song makes me feel so many emotions at once. It makes me incredibly happy because I love it so much, but it's easily the most depressing song I've ever heard. It also makes me appreciate life and art in a whole new way while simultaneously being the most eerie, creepy, scary song I've ever heard.

  • This brings back memories of everything that just happend in Japan, and all the loved ones i've lost. Such a beautiful song.

  • epic song...greece loves radiohead!! <3

  • no, i do not want to watch behind the scenes of the new selena gomez video.

  • pouce vert si vous etes la grace a la video de warneup et boris germain

  • πολυ καλο κομματι!

  • What the fuck is with the comments...

    V

  • What a fucking ripoff

I wonder why didn't they include claps too?

  • this is so good we got cats from japan and whatever language "TTpekpacho" is lovin this stuff.

  • Illuminati. orion...

  • Прекрасно

  • 本当に、海で、泳いでるような、感覚♪

  • this is so brilliant its mind blowing

  • wow love it

  • This video was so much more badass in 2001. These graphics are kind of cheesy now, but the overall effect is still pretty cool. I'm glad that they weren't really going for a really realistic look, because this video would be way crappier now.

  • This song brings up feelings in me i didnt know i existed.. Seems like a masterpiece to me!

  • In my opinion this is the pinnacle of Radiohead's entire career so far. Of course I LOVE everything Radiohead creates but this song is so unique and unachievable for any other band. Vote up if you agree.

  • @kyokookanami Definitely my favourite piece by Radiohead. From a compositional standpoint it's so far beyond anything else they've done.

  • @FlyingFuckstorm have you heard jonny greenwoods solo stuff

  • @kyokookanami i really adored this song, but the whole album left me a little flat. it was good, but really nothing for me will compare to the whole of ok computer. between that album and the self titled by portishead nothing has provided a better soundtrack to a period of my life. those were some miserable, depressed, cold, lonely good times =).

  • @kyokookanami There are many songs from Radiohead I like as much as Pyramid Song :)

  • @kyokookanami I agree. I was listening to a playlist of Radiohead songs while doing some uni work, but when this came on I stopped to listen....

  • This song has always reminded me of the September 11th attacks.

  • hey, yoyoyo, if ya want a radioheadjob exp, go into your music editor and stack a copy of this song on top of itself, only start pyramid song #2 smack-dab in the middle of the first two piano chords...the effect is more radiohead than radiohead...i wonder if they built it like that on purpose, and i am the superhuman RH fan that figured it out first! try it, it will be worth the money... what money?

  • @yourgottisttod

They obviously didnt create it so that would work, because it doesnt work. It sounds terrible.

'superhuman RH fan'. What an ego you have.
