i really don't sympathise with the driver, if he was drinking and driving I see this as something that was coming to him. The passengers, while not as directly responsible, should have known not to let him drive so I don't feel sorry for them either. It's made PAINFULLY apparent to be careful when driving so that this kind of thing doesn't happen. But I guess when you're 18 and know everything about driving, reality and responsiblity take a back seat to fun and this is what happens.

I drive like a lunatic, going sometimes 110mph on the freeway, doing 80degree turns at 35mph, just doing stupid stuff, but I also know my limits. I know that if one my tires explodes at over 70mph, I'm done for. Talking on the cellphone is enough to distract me and i find myself driving without paying close attention to the road, now imagine what being blitzed on alcohol does to your system. i really don't sympathise with the driver, if he was drinking and driving I see this as something that was coming to him. The passengers, while not as directly responsible, should have known not to let him drive so I don't feel sorry for them either. It's made PAINFULLY apparent to be careful when driving so that this kind of thing doesn't happen. But I guess when you're 18 and know everything about driving, reality and responsiblity take a back seat to fun and this is what happens.

I drive like a lunatic, going sometimes 110mph on the freeway, doing 80degree turns at 35mph, just doing stupid stuff, but I also know my limits. I know that if one my tires explodes at over 70mph, I'm done for. Talking on the cellphone is enough to distract me and i find myself driving without paying close attention to the road, now imagine what being blitzed on alcohol does to your system. I might sound like an ass, but if they were drunk, it's their fault. If they weren't, then r.i.p.

honestly, they were driving under the influence, they died because they were irresponsible, i don't get why anyone would sympathize with them. Just keep in mind, they could have as easily crashed into a car with an innocent family as it usually happens. I know a guy that died because he crashed into school bus because he was drunk as hell. luckily, no one was on the bus. Why should anyone sympathize with anyone who is so eager to put other people's lives at risk? Sorry, i don't see the logic.

Ok, dude, so they know the risk and I agree it is the drivers fault for drink driving and the passengers must have known the driver was under the influence and still entered the car but, have you ever ridden with a buddy who 'had a couple' and gone 4 a cruise? Would you or your 'buddy' deserve to die? It is lucky no third party car or victim was injured but def unfortunate that so many people died due to the mistake of one.

Nevber did a wrong thing in my life..i went to american red cross gave blood was invited to a party, with my blood levals changed i got totally smahed and wonderd away from the party..thank god i got my DUI, im not a drinker thats the dunny thing about it..i took a DUI course, met some good people and learned my lesson, a DUI can effect anyone nice or not.

After this accident, it was noticed that many teens had been killed in car wrecks around here, so the NC Highway Patrol moved several extra patrol officers to Davidson County, hoping to prevent more tragic deaths like this one from happening.
