"Got a F**kin SH*tload of smoked meat". HAHA love it. Nice big smoker. An old fridge makes a great smoker. pull out all the plastic inside and cook the paint off and then drill new rack sheckles and use a small propane bbq for heat.
Maybe this isn't the place to post this but wth. Will you consider posting a video on how you dress some of these animals you trap? I am not a hunter or trapper but I feel this will be a valuable skill if and when the SHTF that I would love to learn now. Also, for rabbits - which conibear would you suggest? Thanks!!
There`s a spice from Club house it`s called Garlic plus it has a mixture of herbs with it ( dehyd.vegetables -garlic -red bell-peppers -corn meal- sugar-salt-yeast extract-dehyd.parsley-sunflower oil-citric acid- and if you try it once there is`nt any other spice in your world -Damn it`s good .it`s a great flavor for jerkying .after rinsing the salt brine more the better .
Very nice. This is my dream of living in the woods and growing my own food. I'm not sure about hunting. It seems very hard to do. At least, you get to enjoy the fresh clean air.
@LaoSoftware You could be looking at it the wrong way, One of the main reasons small tribes hunt, is because of the attraction of big game. So much food from more or less easy/fast way to get it.
@richbd359 i store it in a paper bag it gets eaten really fast though i eat smoke moose meat for a week straight for lunch and supper!yeah i smoke beaver meat caribou meat fish chickens pretty much any wild meats.
is trapping a sustainable way of life??? i mean, cause i love hunting and making leather and pelts and stuff, i like making leather products, (ie) moccasins, muclucs medicine bags and stuff could i acctually do this full time or should i have a city job to help sustain myself?? eh?
This is a very good video. Do you mind making a video about how you built the smoke shack, and how it was built? That is one of the nicest smoke shacks I've seen.
@Rockholm66 first i cut an peeled logs let em dry then i nailed them together in threes used scrap plywood and two by fours i scabbed them in three so after i had 90 of em all nailed together i stood em up then i used a winch and put around the whole building and sucked it tight the roof was the hardest to do.cause some math came in play then. i was gonna make it square but thought round be more fun
Well that answers my previous question about the smoke house. Ever draw any hungry bears in with that beacause I can almost taste it from here? Very nice, I'd love to build something like that.
Do you have a job.
