Eh, that was pretty poorly done, actually. All I do is a couple feet away from the bottom ones and blow them up, dodging the falling aliens. Then, once the bottom is clear, I just run straight up to the heart (whatever it is...) and shoot as fast as I can at it. Bottom line, just ignore the top spawning holes, then head straight for the heart. Takes about half the time it took the guy in this video.
