  • Nice video. My sympathies to you and the family about Aunt Gladys. And the angels rejoice. A much simpler time.

  • @Brucev7 Thanks for your kind words, Bruce. The Lord bless you!

  • Very sweet

  • Hello,

My grandparents were married on this show in January, 1951. Does anyone have a clue how I might be able to locate a copy of the broadcast? They never even got to see it air because there was only one TV in their town at the time!

  • @jdburlsn The Bride and Groom Show gave my uncle and aunt , who are featured on this video clip, a copy of the broadcast as part as their wedding gift package offered by their sponsors. Your grandparents, as well, should have been given a copy of their wedding on B & G. I would suggest that you try contacting CBS just on the chance they might be able to track down the broadcast of their wedding for you. Hope that helps. God bless!

  • I wish I would have known Dr. Martin. I read Kingdom of the Cults four years ago and it inspired me to become an apologist. Sadly, I was only about 3 when Dr. Martin went on to glory.

  • @awgamblin1987

You will meet him one day. but there`s a cue forming. :)

    God Bless you and yours

  • This is so sweet

  • @awgamblin1987 Yes, I think so too. I love this clip as it features several family members. Thanks for watching. God bless!

  • I assisted Walter Martin at my friends wedding in 1988.Walter Martin was a kind devout man.Even if one does not agree with christian theology, people loved this man.He was gracious in debate with theological apponents, and brought his aurguments to people with reason and measure.I hope I can be like him in my lifetime.

  • @777bal Thank you for your kind words about my father. The Lord bless you and all that you do for His glory.

  • Obviously through all the power of Jesus Christ through God are all things made possible. Learning from the Lord is our main premise: as no longer learning by acts of bad sacrifice, which sacrifice doesn't change the color of our sin in God's eyes.

Knowing that- I have to say that your dad was in my youth/ is continually my teacher. I mean I sued to listen to his tapes as a teen and pretend that I was him.

    I went away from Christ.

But am back now finally putting the good teaching to work.

  • Things look a lot nicer back then.

  • Powerful!!!

  • WOW!!! Imagine comparing this wedding to some one night fling, wedding in Vegas!! Didn’t even kiss for 2 years!! Wow, I feel so worthless, and sinful, compared past generations such as this…how wonderful it would have been to be born in that generation!!..oh come lord Jesus!!! BTW, Love Martin!!!

  • this is an IDEAL BONDING....

let's go for it...so be it!

    GODbless!!!!

  • this is an IDEAL BONDING.

let's go for it---- so be it!

  • great video ,,GOD BLESS

  • The set a good example. Hands off during courtship.

  • WOW!!! Did not know Walter Martin was involved with so much asides apologetics.

  • Man, they guy couldn't wait to kiss the girl! lol nice.

  • GREAT.

  • wow! praise God! a union in Christ! This was WOW this had me grining like a bear! LOL at the wedding gifts though! That was great! Praise GOD!

  • Everybody should watch this. People now are so wayward in how they carry themselves today regarding relationships and dating. In fact, I don't even think today it's called dating. It resembles somethings closer to tag team wrestling show. How awesome to watch.

  • My dad was born in 1920 he would have love this it was a great show they really talk about the Lord.

  • I wish I could go back in time. People had much more class. A guy not pressuring a girl wow.

  • what a nice ceremony... thanking God and Jesus all the way through...

  • Wow, that was wonderful, thank you.

Notice that Dr. Martin pronounced them husband and wife by the authority of Jesus Christ and not by any state, government or human agency. That's marriage. Awesome.

  • What you said. :-}

  • yeah! what zapruder said!

"by the authority of Jesus Christ" woo hoo! :)

these are precious vids, cindee :)

  • wow a show that glorifies marriage??? This would be an alien concept today. Shows just how terribly far down our society as a whole has come down.

  • i had a tear when i watched this, what a valuable tape, thanks for posting, not many teachers of the Faith Like walter martin, thanks God for Walter Martin i learnt much from him too

reminds me of Colosians 1:28 him we preach warning every man and Teaching every man in All wisdom that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus, you should be proud of your Dad, would you have the tape of the dialogue with Bill Cetnar on JWs what A classic Glory To God

  • Its cool seeing this early Walter footage! Even though I no longer consider myself a Christian, I respect a lot of Walters work, and I learned a lot from him. From 1990 to 1995, I produced his taped radio specials at Christian Research Institute. Over time, I found myself being able to argue better against the Christian position, rather than for it.

  • I appreciate the kind words, about my Dad and Uncle, but am really sad to hear you no longer consider yourself a believer. I pray the Lord will open your eyes and that he will fill your heart with the joy of his salvation.

  • @cindeemorgan Amen Lord Jesus. Salvation is not found in no other name.

  • @RollyDV Stubborn and a lover of your Rebellion, eh?

  • I was there when he rededicated CRI. Where You? What a great day it was!

  • Dr. Walter Martin brought me to Christ. I miss him very much.

  • Thank you for sharing that. What a blessing it is to hear! God bless!

  • wow!! thanks cindy for posting,do you have other video of your dad when he was younger if so please post I CAN WATCH him all day.

  • I am glad it is a blessing to you! My Dad's life is yet another powerful reminder to me that the work the Lord does, through each of his children, lives on forever! What a privilege it is to participate in the work of the Lord!

  • Walter was the best debater I ever heard, and I've heard alot. I think he inhereted his arguing skills from his father who was a lawyer and a judge. I am similarly talented in debate. My grandfather was a judge in the Army, and a lawyer. My uncle graduated from Harvard Law School and Oxford.

  • Thanks for the kind words. God bless you!

  • I'm so glad you posted this, Cindee. It was great to see.:) Thanks and God bless.
