Mississippi Improv Aliance does a summer, and winter series of four concerts each.
We've just wrapped up our summer series, but the winter series should start some time in February.
The concerts usually are done in or near the Jackson Mississippi area.
If you check the links at the end of the video, you'll be able to contact M!A director, and get on an email list to find out where the next gigs are, however, the director usually selects the musicians for gigs.

Thanks for sharing this. I've never been a big fan of improv ... but I think you're gradually converting me. I'm fascinated by how the tempo and, in particular, the mood and style seem to organically shift and metamorphose ... and all without any conducting! However, I may be prejudiced, but I feel the theremin supplies a melodic thread running throughout that seems to draw the other instruments' performances together somehow ... the glue that holds the whole thing in one piece!
This video is popular on Latvia

@altonmiranda49 That's cool. Too bad it's not so popular here. LOL

This was really interesting music, subtle themes, great ambience - - I'd be interested in joining or starting a group to do something similar

If you're in the Mississippi area, we'd be happy to have you join us. It's strictly a volunteer effort, but it's a lot of fun. :)

Thanks for the kind words. It took a while for me to get used to improv as well, but it really does grow on you. ;)
