  • My dad passed away when I was only 3 years old. I'm 17 now. When i was in second grade I sang the solo for this song with my choir and I didn't tell my mom and she cried, my director cried, an all the other parents cried. I'm singing this song for senior night at my school. I'm not telling my mom.

  • @sophiexmariex94 You can make it!

  • why ? are only girl's hear on loseing a father.

  • That girl is cute ;)

  • I am a daddy girl and I love him with all my heart and I miss him so much and at time when I am in such great pain I think of him and what would he do. I feel bad that my children don't have that kind of love from a father . My daughter could have used that kind of strength and love from her dad if he was a better man

  • lol screw this, where EC

  • @sunparchin Keep the love of your father in your heart. it will remain a blessing to you. Let it be an inspiration when you have your kids someday. God bless.

  • my eyes don't match that of which is my fathers in color but i sure hope they do in spirit

  • @Kit571Cat Your father's love to you will always be reflected in your eyes. Same is with God's love to us. It will be revealed in our lives, in our souls.

  • i feel at peace when i read these comments. i lost my first child six years ago and i lost my father five months ago. now several times i feel i am an orphan... all of a sudden lost the grip.... but when i count the cloud of people who undergo similar situations...i count it as a privilege from God so that i could be a chanel of restoration to a generation yet to come... thanx a lot for posting this song.

  • there is a purpose for everything and it is always meant to bless you. i understand the pain of what you are undergoing for i lost loved ones too. i lost my dad in 2008 yet the pain has never lessened. life moves on though and soon, the purposes of these pains will be revealed to me, i know.

    just move on and think of the many good things God showered you and your family. when things get tough, just count your blessings and name them one by one!

  • thank you dear, God has given you the ministry of healing.... be a chanel to many more... my prayers are with you

  • thank you! God is good and His timing is always perfect. you will be blessed.

  • I lost my daughter to a birth defect she was born with. It was called trisomy 18. She only lived for exactly 20 days and we even got to take her home with us from the hospital. She was my very first child and I was only 20 years old when she was born. Well its been 20 years since, and I still find myself hurting inside. This was the song they sang at the funeral. Thank you for posting it, it brought back memories of my little angel.

  • I understand you so much, although we were luckier somehow. My sister was the first to be pregnant in my family and he was prematurely born, just a week before he could have been incubated. Said to have died in an instant heart attack. Then I watched the baby of a cousin how people were happy with her and went to cry to the kitchen, we were all so brocken. Sister gave the same name to his next boy who was born (reborn) later.

  • God got purposes for all. all things work out for good. this is a touching story.

  • i understand how you feel. the pain will never leave us but life must go on. my dad passed away last 2008 and i still cry each time i remember him. whenever i am confronted with trials, i always bear in mind that i have to face them bravely and i must give my best for daddy gave his best to us. he taught us to be brave too.

    God is there to heal. just trust Him. all things got reasons. we may not understand His purposes now, but we will later.

  • A beautiful song by Amy Grant

    and thank you for taking the time on the lyrics

    you are very thoughtful!

  • Nooo, This Is'n Eric Clapton. :(

  • thank you :)

  • welcome. :D

  • And on that day when we will pay for all the deeds we have done,

    Good and bad theyll all be had to see by everyone.

    And when youre called to stand and tell just what you saw in me,

    More than anything I know, I want your words to be,

  • I may not be every mothers dream for her little girl,

    And my face may not grace the mind of everyone in the world.

    But thats all right, as long as I can have one wish I pray:

    When people look inside my life, I want to hear them say,

  • what does this song talk about ? i dont understand songs very well ;p , im lookin for a song to sing for my dad for his 50th b-day cause he is a wonderful person , any suggestions? please and thank you.

  • Shes got her fathers eyes, Her fathers eyes; Eyes that find the good in things, When good is not around; Eyes that find the source of help, When help just cant be found; Eyes full of compassion, Seeing every pain; Knowing what youre going through And feeling it the same. Just like my fathers eyes, My fathers eyes, My fathers eyes, Just like my fathers eyes.
  • She had her fathers eyes,

    Her fathers eyes;

    Eyes that found the good in things,

    When good was not around;

    Eyes that found the source of help,

    When help would not be found;

    Eyes full of compassion,

    Seeing every pain;

  • Knowing what youre going through,

    And feeling it the same.

    Just like my fathers eyes,

    My fathers eyes,

    My fathers eyes,

    Just like my fathers eyes.

    My fathers eyes,

    My fathers eyes,

    Just like my fathers eyes.

  • sorry if the lyrics i posted were not in order. just listen to the song and try to arrange the stanzas. it's a beautiful song. the song says that though we don't have the looks that our mothers want to have for their daughters, what matters is we got the character of our Father who is God. yet, this song can be dedicated to our dads too. it just says that you treasure so much what you inherited or learned from him. do sing this for your dad. God bless!

  • nice, it made me remember old times

  • true. thank you.
