I'm playing the 'Popular Riff in C' from one of my other lessons.
You can improvise in C by playing any note from the C Blues Scale. C Eb F Gb G natural & Bb. Other notes, like D,E, and A sometimes fit into riffs & runs too. & you can play the notes as octaves too. i.e. Both C's, both Eb's, etc. The more you play & experiment, the better you'll get, just get your bass lines down & steady.

In case it isn't obvious to anyone, you can readily also play this bass line in a 'shuffle' feel.
