When our government 'creates' jobs, it also destroys jobs, but you don't hear about that. Government needs money to create jobs, to get money they either borrow it or tax it from the people. When they tax money from the people to fund government jobs it directly destroys private jobs (superior) that would have been created using that money. During the 5 months of work created (not really jobs), while traffic was detoured, 4 small buisnesss on the mile and a half stretch of road went under.

When our government 'creates' jobs, it also destroys jobs, but you don't hear about that. Government needs money to create jobs, to get money they either borrow it or tax it from the people. When they tax money from the people to fund government jobs it directly destroys private jobs (superior) that would have been created using that money. When government borrows money we get a temporary increase in "jobs", followed by an even larger decrease when we have to pay back what we owe.

One trillion dollars would provide premium health care for every individual in America for one year. The government could send vouchers to the people and the people could pick their own provider. 1) Stimulus packages work nearly immediately, if they work. Bush's $300/taxpayer stimulus ended the 2001 recession in months.
2) Obama's stimulus cost $6300/taxpayer.
3) Obama gave Congress <1 day to read and pass the 2000page bill. If these things take time, why rush it like that?
4) If Obama just cut us each a check for $3K and gave the rest back we'd be out of the recession by now for half the price.

Sorry, but I've been having a hell of a good time saying "I told you so". I find it funny how he consistently says one thing while imposing policies that even a child should see cannot possibly achieve those goals.

I am certain this birth certificate issue will be the thorn that brings the gentleman down. What a enormous mistake to fake such a thing in the face of the US presidency. He has got to know the people will want blood when they discover this important fact is true. Does he really believe he will be so empowered that he cannot be removed and charged like a common criminal? What really sucks is, it will make it hard for legitimate black candidates like Michael, the head of the GOP to succeed.

Obama may have all ready done all he intended to do which is become the first black president. Maybe that's why he's always out celebrating?
Secondly I thought Bush was a great president, I believe Iraq had WMDs and intended to destroy. He had them in 93, enough to kill the world three times over and in 91 he dumped 14 thousand tons of oil in the Persian gulf on purpose. That's 8 more thousand tons than the largest accidental oil spill. He was a world enemy. Why is Bush worse than Obama?

Actually, Roosevelt tackled the Great Depression by creating it. He imposed power-grabbing economy-smothering policies similar to Obama. The only difference was Roosevelt started with a free nation and turned it slightly socialist while Obama started with a mildly socialist nation and wants to go all the way. I also think Roosevelt was a patriot and believed mild socialism could help while Obama's more of a San Francisco-style anti-American who wants to hurt the country.

He's no communist because a true communist believes that socialism will advance to the point that concept of government will disappear. Obama wants that power, but yet he's not fully socialist either. He's a mix between a socialist and a fascist. By fascist I mean fascist not the warped lefty definition.
For example, sometimes he puts private industry under government control - that's fascism and sometimes he puts private industry under government ownership - that's socialism.
