  • very nice!! what are you feeding them? It is finally nice to see someone not feeding them bread :) It is bad for them. In fact, the one with the wing hanging is a result of poor nutrition. He/she has angel wing or slipped wing. Thanks for feeding them :) Wisfamily is correct on all the info provided below. Also, you have a hybrid canada goose there in the backround!  It obviously mated with a domestic goose and that is the result! I see a few here and there around my area!

  • Those are Emden geese. THey are domestic farm type geese, not wild like the Canadians I see in the background. Many times people drop off unwanted geese on park ponds and rivers . THey have plenty of natural foods in summer, But once summer leaves the foos goes with it and they dont do as well... Its nice to see the little girl loving the geese.... just remember to see if they are around and feed them in winter too>>> Emdens geese can only fly short diatances not migrate...
