My great grandmas from mom and dads side are cherokee and then the males of the family are whites i may look white because of my european ancestors but i am blessed to be cherokee by my native ancestors

I hate when someone claims to be Native when they don't even know the history behind it like calling them Indians when their not or they don't even know what tribe their families supposedly came from .

You can enjoy any culture and even become a part of it. Some Europeans who came over to the Americas before they completely settled, ended up converting to this culture. @Allhoney33 That's because the great Cherokee nation of Oklahoma doesn't have a blood quantum requirement. Any white guy/gal with "One drop of Cherokee blood" can be considered Cherokee, according to the original Cherokee constitution. Although I have a little Cherokee blood (and by little, I mean something onthe order of 1/16, or about 6%), I don't claim to be NDN at all. I wan't raised with it. I don't buy ANY religion be it Jesus or great spirit. But I do like some powwow frybread!
i'am 7/8 cherokee i haved danced here befor i think my great great grandmother came to oklahoma on the trail of tears and i had the chance to meet her and talk with her and it was awesome
Dad is 1/2 Cherokee & 1/2 Irish, Mom is Irish, Scottish, English, Norwegian, Swedish, German, White Cherokee*, and Frankish.
*White Cherokee are a small group in Virginia who live up in the mountains and are mixed with Scots-Irish and are lighter in skin color. They still follow the way of life they had in the 1860's with the exception that they have been moonshining since prohibition. The feds don't recognize them as their own tribe because a posse went missing in their territory in the 50's.

I took my looks from my dad but my heart from my mom and I was raised on the reservation. My family were were moonshiners as well. I was raised the Native American Hillbilly way.
I am cherokee blackfoot and black and live each day of my life as if i am full-blood cherokee i love waking up every day of my life know i am related to these wonderful kind people and i shall let noone tell me other wise.
