  • jealous people, i'd love to see yer ugly ass jap bikes

  • really ugly front 'beak' -looks like a really bitchy bird...why cant they get that right-its just plain ugly and spoils the rest of the bike

  • It's only competitor is the Tiger 1050. You can't take it off-road when you can with the BMW GS and KTM Adventure. What's amazing though is the service interval: 15,000 miles that's amazing! :0)

  • I agree; I wasn't thrilled with the beak at first, but I've grown used to it; it disappears when you're sitting on it at any rate.

  • I hated it when it was just released but its really growing on me.

  • ugly as usual

  • again that front spoils the whole bike !

  • if that service interval works out to be fact, it sounds wonderful.

Is that simply the 'major' service intervals (valve-check) or 'regular' service intervals. If it's regular (which may involve 'major' servicing tasks) that sounds pretty sweet and again, eases the minds of folks that would like to add a Duc to the stable without the fear of feeling like being bled dry by the thoughts that owning one has a restrictively high ongoing cost of ownership..prohibitively so.

    P.S: I like the look!

  • wha..wha...what? it has the 1098's motor in it??? my god

  • very cool bike then you get to the front intake which looks like a birds beak and ruins everything

  • Fantastic!!!!!!!

  • Looks cool.

I assume the "lever" is just a handle?

  • looks very honda-esque... :/

  • looks like a giant scooter to be honest ungly as hell

  • na ill still stick to my honda thanks i like to keep my beer tokerns

  • Butt ugly beak?

  • @GOBbluthagain dont mind the beak...the 1100 Multistrade looked like a vacuum cleaner...this one looks really cool...and the "beak" dont bother me

  • Never thought the previous multistrada could look good, but...

  • lovely bike, who doesnt love ducati?

but a big problem with it is chain drive, why would you go for a bike where you have to faff about with a chain instead of a BMW R1200GS with shaft drive, i dont understand why they didnt do that

  • @Buttmunch5000

Sorry, I put this response to the wrong originator. This is the correct place for it!

Spot on. To me this bike has all the answers I'm looking for: Performance, comfort, genuine touring ability and yet not lardy and will handle rough roads - but no shaft drive! Of course, it would have added a bit to the weight but that would have been a small price to pay.

    I still want one, though

  • Gorgeous bike! Been researching this bike for a while now and I want one so badly. However, I'll wait for it to become second hand first I think. I just couldnt justify that price tag.

  • @simon44 Spot on. To me this bike has all the answers I'm looking for: Performance, comfort, genuine touring ability and yet not lardy and will handle rough roads - but no shaft drive! Of course, it would have added a bit to the weight but that would have been a small price to pay.

  • To be more precise in my comment. This bike like a lot of the semi-naked bikes appears to suffer from 'form without function'

Slap a bit of extraneous plastic on it, that will make it look modern.

No, it just makes it look like you slapped a bit of plastic on it. If the plastic isn't doing anything, we do realise that.

  • There seems to be a widening gap between what motorcycle companies "think" looks good and what consumers "think" looks good.

Bear in mind that this is an entirely subjective matter but that bike looks like crap, all of the new naked bikes just look rubbish.

  • look ugly :/

  • why the f*ck does it look like a bird????? why???

  • Ride it first... then decide whether its amazing or not

  • @lambookuka It's a Ducati with what is essentially the 1098 sportbike engine in it. I already know how it will go...

  • does that make a GSR as good as a GSXR...?
