I think the Yamaha FZR400's are 1 of the best small bikes 2 ride. besides the NSR250's! Here in Hawaii theres alot of big bikes.. Yet when weather conditions are dry an night falls.. Then I roll my out my

91' FZR400! I have kept up with R6's an passed R1's an Busa's on the turns.. Maybe its jus all rider? Yet these bikes are so light an can hang a hair pin corner with little effort compared to a big cc bike..

I did the same thing to my bike (same model, same year), but crashed on a straight stretch. front brakes locked up when I was slowing down to avoid two motorcycles that pulled out of an alley up ahead, blacked out immediately after impact, 'came to' (wasnt unconcious) halfway through the 80 meters or so I eventually slid.

that was a bad day.

I braked too late. The track dropped away just as I applied the lever. The bike was pretty much airborn. I released the brake lever and it continued to fall.

you can break your ankle and still walk for a whole day even... happened to a friend of mine. just like anything else, it depends how severe the break was. If you have bone sticking out of your leg, of course that is a really serious injury. But a severe fracture/break will still allow you to walk until it swells up and starts to hurt a lot.

He is limping at the end of the vid so he must have broken his ankle! It also looks like he goes over to the barrier to lean on it! You would be able to walk on it because of the adrenaline and the boots would offer alot of support to keep the ankle in place!

I have also hairline fractured my ankle and you can't even walk on that. I also broke my leg and believe it or not I don't care, I have the 3rd spot for the most amount of metal in a leg without it being false in England.

I've had five crashes on the track and about that many on the street with only two trips to the hospital with minor injurys. I walked away from them all thank God. Maybe you can explain to all the people killed in car acidents every day how much safer they are. Yes riding a bike is dangerous but don't think you are safe in a car. That is stupid. No, bikes are no safer than a car. Cars are no safer than a bike if you are driving it as if your completely safe inside your cage. You are not safe in a car, on a bike, in an 18 wheeler, a bicycle, a bus, standing on the sidewalk... etc. If YOU choose to be "safe" inside your cage that is fine. But some of us would rather live than just survive.

1. you are most certainly going to crash, its going to hurt and be expencive to repair

2. middle aged guys usualy get big bikes, which makes them look rediculous in their leather romper suit

4. its a far too expencive and dangerous hobby to be rational

5. noone pays attention to bikers in traffic, so a crash is just a matter of time

Personally I'd rather be on a bike (In the process of learning) than be in a car. Anyone can drive a car, it takes a bit of skill to ride a bike, in terms of balance and personal stamina.

The bike has been rebuilt and I hope to have it back on the track in a month or two. It is now a 600 (FZR600 motor bolts right into the 400 frame). Sorry about the MV. That would have made me cry.
