I am a dedicated muti fan and love his early work so much. he said that he no longer has to prove himself to others as a good conductor -meaning he doesnt need to put on a big show anymore as he did when he was younger, yet he still somehow seems to let the music flow through him and have such control over the orchestra. he is the worlds best conductor-Maestro Muti. (this is not my favourite overture though) i prefer Mozart's Figaro Overture. Anyway Maestro Riccardo Muti is the World's greatest!
