  • I've never read Crime and Punishment--aside from the first two chapters or so--but Dostoevsky and works have been a source of inspiration for me for some time now, an interest kindled after reading Notes from Underground, one of the most challenging, enlightening, and insightful works of fiction I've read in a while. Bravo to the narrator of this series, and the actor who plays Raskolnikov--they bring the book alive.

  • This is pretty cool. I just read Notes from the Underground, and read Crime and punishment 'bout a year ago, though it's still fresh in my mind, and even fresher listening to these lines.

  • I was born in 1987. I would rather have died then than been born. Again I must reiterate, this documentary has balls. Never knew I had so much in common with Dostoyevsky. His various characters represent various sides of the human psyche.

  • "as modern as AIDS." weird line.

  • Yes, brilliant. Also, thoughtful and thought provoking!

  • This is awesome...

...I can't believe how long it has taken for this to fall into my youtube lap.

    BRILLIANT.

  • Hmm the beginning sounds like a scene from Demons. Very interesting.
