  • My TV licence money was well spent :-)

  • The first thing to come out of my mouth after that: "WHAT THE FUCK." 3 times. Followed by laughter. Oh my god, I must watch this show.

  • Scares the shit outta me :S

  • This is so sinister!!

  • LOLOLOLOLOL!

  • Both Sydney and Kansas city legalised casinos in 1980 and 1994,both have a gambling culture since onset in the 1800s.I went into a rat hole of a pub in center of Sydney at 3am and a businessman had a handfull stack of 100s he fed down the poker machine, the security went over to him and he looked at me.I was booked a few times for having a 9inch military knife in my coat i use for pigs and kangaroos in the forests, the taxi drivers clear out from the poker machines as soon as i walk in too.

  • And that's another thing about Kansas City Seldom Seen district 1800s seen here in Britains Royston Vasey and here Commonwealth of the 1800s note: Actual Kansas City region had frogs and cockroaches apart poms and immigrants in its beginning history over there in the US, oddly we have a constituant of Mormons , just as that region. Surprise surprise. see drawn together mormon burial ritual.

  • What episode is this please?(:

  • @MrsPattinson1289 If someone hasn't replied already, it's "Destination Royston Vasey" ,I wouldn't like to compare a legendary sketch show to a monotonous sitcom, but the episode names are similarly annoying lol =)

  • @SeCoProductions That is to "Friends" of course

  • youtube "Robert Hays & Julie Hagerty Stayin Alive" is actually the same profile information "figuritively"(pardon the pun) , that scene, is not exactly ficticous of i can't truly answer about the final result of asking ..."someone to pinch them to see if they're dreaming"...being pinched may be someones illicit thoughts of what it takes but it is also an unpleasant cruelty, so maybe that wouldn't work to be more violent because it may give them what they want. Do you see now how it operates.

  • Nice place, Britain. Pity it's full of mad people.

  • @GaladedridDamodred "Quote: Nice place, Britain. Pity it's full of mad people."

And that's exactly it , why do you think it's ficticious humour when the criminal profiles continually match - a psuedo way of saying its exactly true. We have a column in our neswpaper here that is tagged with a US grammatical slang expression "What The?*" half of that clipping column are madmen , the other half are criminals at it a strange way that are also madmen!!! Thats because of how law loopholes . PERIOD.

  • @TheOldnic No idea what you just said, but much good may your opinions do you.

  • @GaladedridDamodred Mainly i'm saying artists have a way of depicting concepts or objects by exagerating them."Attachments dating" another of these sketches, has a corrupt policeman and a cockney girl that was a silver fox when she was a kid(only thing, could not notice what he is, and what he was at, when the warning software also told her that! - anyhow why use a silver fox, that would spill out anyway if he tried to,he'd also simply know that). Now back to reality out here in "Seldom Seen"

  • Which series does papa larazou star in???

  • @wolfeman147 Series 2, if memory serves!

  • @bingobangobracken cheers!

  • 62 people are married to Pappa Lazarou

  • 62 people aren't named Dave.

  • Im sorry... but I just dont see the humor and Im usually very open minded. Someone help me.

  • @valenvid its british humour, your not open minded enough hahaXD

  • @givemethecatfood ... Im very open minded ms cat food eater lol. Its just that in america, that whole black face make up was a very racial thing and seeing it here just kinda clouded the humor in it... Plus I didnt see the joke. ... I really didnt. I like british humor... Especially the "monty" dudes or keeping appearances etc, but this??? naaaah lol.

  • @valenvid It's mainly just taking the mick out of gypsies as they are massivly unliked in the Uk, and most likely the rest of the world, The black face, we very rarely see it as the UK is becoming vey politicly correct, but the black face is having small revivals mainly because golliwogs are styll sold here and have been starting to sell in larger numbers in recent times.

  • @TranceExplosion ... I see... but did you think this was classic hilarious stuff? It simply wasnt funny? I sometimes dont understand how people dont get Will Ferrell so I guess this is the same. I dont know but I just think ... well it doesnt matter what I think lol.

  • It's Lil Wayne.

  • Would you like to buy some pegs Dave?

  • Theres a boy in my english class called dave.

whenever my teacher sees him shes like

    ''hello dave''

she does the best impression ever:)

  • i just love this show

  • Peg intruder. Hide Dave, hide your wife ! and from the looks of things....hide your husband too because hes stealing everybody!!!

  • Actually, the Papa Lazarou character was the ONLY character in the entire League of Gentleman series that I just couldn't stand!

I don't know if I found him too disturbing, or if he just grated on me... But for some reason the character really annoys me.

  • funniest thing going.

  • Is that Dave?

    NOPE

    Chuck Testa

  • Lol!!! I laughed.

  • Thats scary :S

  • This is just a saga now!

  • Want to buy some pegs Dave?

  • Autom-sprou-canda-tickbana-sandwor-budnorsellaswie?

  • yogscast anyone ? XD

  • @Pezamont Ugh

  • @Pezamont The joke comes from the fact that the leagues landlord only talked to steve

  • @TheVideoMenace1 yh ino its just the yogscast brought me here from one of there vids :D

  • Yognaughts HOOOOOO

  • The BBC are crap for not showing the whole clip, ffs.

The start of the comedy clip is funny, why did they not show that part and how the clip started and panned out is beyond me. This is not the entire sketch!

(now watch this post get deleted).............lmfao

  • what the fuck did I just watch

  • Anyone know where I can find that couple who are always arguing, or what their names are?

  • @redplague

Their names are Charlie and Stella!

  • @redplague thanks, the one with the baby is my favourite.

  • Disturbing. Just... disturbing.

  • Dave, is that Dave?

  • I want Papa Lazarou's coat!

  • you're my wife now dave!

  • i love this but the nervous laughter in the background is fucking irritating

  • "I'm going to toilet Dave....... But I'll be back in a moment"

  • the might boosh said they come up with main ppl from all over the place like old Gregg they based him on rick James so they based the skatmonster on The League of Gentlemen i remember watching the league on tv now psychoville

  • this will haunt my dream

  • I am getting a shirt with this legend on it ^__~

  • The Mighty Boosh came out AAAAGES after The League Therefore THEY must have ripped off ideas from TLOG. Jesus Christ are you lot stupid?

  • Nowuhh! I want to see the scene in series 3 where he is chained up with bags on the bed (oh hehe sounds a little FETISH ;) and he imitates Reenie. THAT is spooky...

  • Anyone know what episode this is?

  • Is it just me or does reece seem weirldly hot even when he has black face paint all over his face?Or am i completly obsessed?

  • this is fucking terrifying

  • Unparalleled genius.

  • hahahaahhaha ''comedy''?? this is fucking terrifying !!!!!

  • The name 'Dave' will never be the same again.

  • That is so creepy. =O

  • Only the British are capable of conceiving something as twisted and insane as 'League of Gentlemen.'

In case you were wondering, that's a compliment :P British comedy is the best in the world!

  • The way he screams at 0:27 kills me everytime.

  • what the fck is that?!

  • xD lol

  • The one in the pink dress is a good actor because I didn<t realised at first that it wasn<t a ugly woman, but a dude! I love the clown!

  • @facefantome THAT is NO clown. It's... Papa Lazarou.

  • those are his real teeth.

  • @kidneycat nice, my teeth are way more rotten than his, maybe I could go into black humor, inspiring!

  • Don't get it.

  • "otum, sprow. kala. teekbana. sandwa. bat noseras me?"

    amazing!

  • What series is this? 3?

  • who cares who started first the league of gentleman are fucking ace the boosh are gay !

  • These guys are brilliant!

  • I've never seen an ad on a Youtube video.

I think I take Adblock a little for granted. <3

  • god damn malteaser

  • Sometimes at school I start acting like Papa Larazou. People give me odd looks.

  • Genius, love it

  • I answer every phone call I get with "HELLO DAVE!" Even if they've never watched LoG. Especially if they've never watched LoG. Heh heh.

P.S. for a while I was sure that Val was Papa Lazarou's wife. The costume is so similar. But she's fine in a later scene, so this must be somebody else.

P.P.S. Mark Gatiss as a woman is so effing hot. Phwoar! Yes, I'm probably insane.

  • @TheWonderfulWombat P.P.S. HELL YEAH ^___~ as Val...

  • Oh I guess it is this show...

  • Does anyone know what English TV show where it was about locals hating people from outside of the village? They always used to say: "Are you locals?"

  • @sangolt88 this is a local shop for local people, there's nothing for you here...

  • @sangolt88 league of gnetlemen

  • @sangolt88 league of gentlemen

  • @sangolt88 No, sorry. No idea.

  • @sangolt88 This is the sae one! The legue of gentleman. You are looking for a 'Tubs and Edward' sketch at the local shop on Royston Vasey.

  • I never got what Pappa Lazarou was about.

  • @PanekPL Think the child snatcher but with Wife's instead of children

  • HELLO DAVE!

  • Lesson: 1:01 -_O 2:26 the END.

    Truth vs Lies

  • RACIST!

  • "There is now!"

  • ...but ill be back in a moment.

  • Papa Lazarou is my personal hero why?... because he takes shit from no one and he gets all the bitches

  • This show never made it to BBC America. It looks...um...interesting?

  • @davidls11 i dont think you americans would understand and like any anyway no offence

  • @calumelliott You're mistaken. The Young Ones, Monty Python, Are You Being Served, Black Adder, The Good Life and The Mighty Boosh are just a few of your comedies that were popular here. And then of course there's Dr. Who (my favorite show) and Torchwood. Like it or not, we're very much alike. Please don't judge all Americans by the conservative idiots that seem to be in the news all the time. Most of us aren't right-wing fundamentalist jerks.

  • @davidls11 oh really? i never really thought many americans would like that sort of thing becasue i always thought of most of them comedies as a cult thing i guess i was wrong, you can find full episodes on youtube of the league of gentlemen btw if you liked all of them things you will definatly like TLOG it has to be sen right from the beggining though the story is streched out over all three series

  • @calumelliott Thanks, I'll check it out. Now here's one for you. If you like VERY strange movies, watch The Forbidden Zone. There are a few clips here on YouTube and you can watch the whole film at

    veehd(dot)com/video/4526813_Forbidden-Zone-1982

Click on the little "play" triangle in the middle of the screen, not the big Play Now button. Close out the pop up. You don't have to download any software.

  • A demented sadist kidnaps some poor women. How is this funny?

  • @TheDarkEricDraven Its black comedy: either you like it or you dont

  • @BODYGCB I understand black comedy, I love black comedy, but there is nothing funny about this. There is no joke other then the basic premise. I can understand a perticurly talented writer taking a situation like this and making it funny, but this fails at it.

  • @TheDarkEricDraven how is this not funny you don't find a creepy minstrel turning up and convincing someone to be kidnapped by him funny?

  • @TheDarkEricDraven

A humourless moron replies to a black comedy sketch, how is this relevant?

  • All this Boosh hate makes me wanna write concerned letters to no one in particular.

  • Papa Lazarou wouldn't have to ask me twice. He can call me Dave anytime!

  • League is comedy genious AND boosh is comedy genious. Get over it.

  • Yeah, very funny. Take out the canned laughter and you get over-exaggerated nothing. Maybe I'm just a thick northerner, but LOG does nothing for me. However, classic southern comedy like only fools and horses etc. I love, but not this tripe....

  • @K2gsxr1000 hey, i'm Aussie and I love League of Gentlemen. If you don't have anything good to say, then don't say it

  • Reminds me of the spirit of Jazz from the Boosh :')

  • theres somethin about pappa lazarou that i find strangely appealing:)

  • Dark UK sketch comedy with a hint of mint. This is our first video and we'd love to know what you think. If you like it please rate, comment, subscribe!

  • WHY DO I HAVE TO WATCH FUCKING COMMERCIALS IN EVERY YOUTUBE VIDEO.

IS NOTHING SACRED???? ITS FUCKING IRRITATING

  • @terder123 Capitalism, my friend

  • @terder123 Slightly ironic given that it's BBCs channel!

  • @terder123 Ad Blocker Plus...what commercials?

  • @terder123 Firefox and AdBlock Plus. Use them.

  • @terder123 Yes I agree. I don't want to buy a f**king toaster or eye polish.

  • @terder123 i know its ruing youtube

  • @terder123 press F5 when the adverts start

  • @Rubberdinghyrapids hero biscuit for you good sir!

  • @Rubberdinghyrapids hero biscuit for you good sir!

  • @terder123 surely this is free licence media as we pay for our licences.. WHY IS THERE AN AD ON BBC STUFF

ITS LIKE THE MUZZY FRENCH LANGUAGE THING.

  • @Redmist2000 League came first u dumb crap, and league are better, u dumb crap. Boosh couldnt make genius character like herr lipp and they havent really got to grips with papa lazarou very well, I have to say that little britain copied league more and in some respects boosh is original, bbut not the spirit of jazz.

  • @bigbadpoo

Got my words mixed up, the boosh are a pile of shit compared to LOG, I completely agree with you :L

  • :| wtf! boosh and league of gentlemen are not a like at all.

Hahahaha, you should all get a grip.

  • Mark Gatiss is a very talented guy. He has a major hand in Funland and Nighty Night, to mention just two other shows, both of which are similarly surreal and hugely funny. If you see any comedy that reminds you to some extent of L.O.G, check the credits and his name will probably be there.

The League is a riot, In my opinion, the most original and extraordinary comedy of recent years.

  • @jamflip you keep insisting on here that Boosh existed before League of Gentlemen. You are talking about the Theatre show Boosh did in 98. League of Gentleman were doing a theatre show in (Read) *1994* and assumed the name League of Gentlemen in *1995*, continuing stage shows. So they were in theatre 4 YEARS BEFORE Mighty Boosh existed at all, and on TV 5 YEARS BEFORE Mighty Boosh were on TV. Now Accept you are wrong, and stop telling everyone that Mighty Boosh was before League of Gentlemen.

  • @jamflip

    League formed : 1994, 1st television series :1999

    Boosh formed : 1998, 1st television series: 2004

Not me who needs to check facts....

  • So creepy. It reminds me of that handful of real life serial killers who forced their Stockholm syndrome addled female victims to help them abduct other unsuspecting women. But funnier :>P

  • - ..." MOJA STARA NIE NASZCZA DO UMYWALKI ", - ETA PTASZORRR !!!!

    Rewelacja, inne seriale na kolana.

  • -..." Moja stara nie naszcza do umywalki "!!! ...eta PTASZOR!!!!!. REWELACYJNY SERIAL, CAŁA RESZTA NA KOLANA.

  • @jamflip sorry mate but you need to check YOUR dates and facts, Boosh may have FORMED in 1998, but the league formed in 1994 and even received the perrier award in '97, a whole year before the Boosh got together.

  • i fucking hate these adds

  • almost as good as ol greg

  • @jamflip

Really? Didn't know that. Like most, I love both... so effing great.

  • You can see that The Boosh was heavily influenced by this show. The Boosh is like a lighter, sillier version of LOG.

  • @ Siccuspiscis "The League of Gentlemen was originally broadcast with a laughter track, but after the first two series this was dropped."

    From Wikipedia: laugh track

Personally, I don't give a flying fuck, but an obnoxious loser * needs an occasional bitchslapping to set him straight.

*Anyone who would not only become so overwrought about such a trifling matter, but take such absurd pride in "correcting" someone over it as well, is, by definition, a loser.

  • he reminds me more of like slash from guns n roses :D

  • you're my wife now! LOL

  • LOL
