I think the Invasion could have been eighty billion times, better if the Cybermen had talked more than they do in the story. I also think these Cybermen were more scary and menacing than in the colour cyberstories, and they were also more fun as well in billions of ways. I much preferred the Cybermen in the black and white stories, in every respect they were much better and also more frightening than the Cybermen of the eighties who were not at all scary or even fun either.
@rojblake82 They're actually 90 trillion times better than the Bacofoil Nancy boys we have as Cyberman nowadays. I'm surprised they're not all working as lollipop Men
I think Cosgrove Hall should animate some more Dr. Who (However much it costs qqqCYBERLEADERppp!) Especially those with just single episodes missing i.e. The Tenth Planet
Tobias Vaughn is awesome. But why the hell do people make deals with the Cybermen (my favorite being the rogue mathematician from "Tomb". What a dumb ass!)?
awesome!!!! but seeing as the cybermen only came in at the end of episode 4, i think they would have kept it more of a secret. still very well made though.
Well, there's a sad story behind that... apparently when "The Invasion" was first set for VHS release, the BBC had all eight episodes. Doctor Who Magazine even printed the original cover, which advertised this fact. Unfortunately, somewhere on their travels, episodes 1 and 4 got lost in the post...
Episodes 1 and 4 were destroyed long before the VHS release. The VHS always lacked Eps 1 and 4, which were "filled in" by brief "to camera" narration from Nick Courtney - though the cover misleadingly stated "Complete at last".
I thought that Episodes 1 and 4 were destroyed back in the early 1970s? Did they find them again or something? Or was it just a hoax like "The Tenth Planet" Episode 4?
man, its really good but u shouldnt have revealed the cybermen were in it. U should do another one without the cybermen, and have just the cocoon about to burst open or somethin.
Yea I know that one definitely blows the surprises. I couldn't resist some cyber-action though. I'll be doing an earthshock one soon and that'll have alternate versions for where or not I blow the secret (RTD style)!
Well it certainly sounds like my edit of the music :)
Will you be doing this with other episodes? I would love to give you some suggestions if you wanted.
BTW, this isnt a real "next time" trailer in the sense that the stuff thats supposed to be happening next time is from many later episodes, and to just the next one :)
Lol! That's a shame. I really like the Invasion, but yes, it is lower on action than most of its publicity would have us believe. That's why I decided to follow Dr Who's number one rule for trailer making - put your best shots in the trailer to make people think the whole episode will be of that standard!
i was disappointed by the lack of cybermen "action" if u like and the way they wernt really the villain of the story! The Vaugn guy is what Darvos was to the Daleks if u like! he took away the cybermens role!
Yup, I agree. This is the best one EVER. Shame, they could have put something like it on the DVD. Very exciting. Makes me want to watch it all over again
Which lost footage are you refering to? Everything in the trailer came from the non-animated episodes, except the logos, which I edited from the howlround test sequences on the Tomb of the Cybermen DVD.
i like not revealing them. it would have been cool if you showed the cyber arm punching the man hole up

@CrossoverKid92 Yeah, probably the least intelligible voice treatment they've ever been given too.

cool trailer for a cool staory.
CommisarTeds 2 years ago
The only bad thing about this story is that the Cybermen aren't in it that much. And that's saying something considering that there's 8 episodes.
powerhousechipmunk23 2 years ago
Exactly. The Cybermen actually INVADE at the end of Part Six.
BannedFromThisSite 2 years ago
and apart from that one screaming they only talk once

Aw, boo hoo.

@powerhousechipmunk23 I dont agree, I think they are far more scary the way they are portrayed in this story.

I don't mind! Anything for my favourite TV Programme! (if it's within my price range of course, and it is extremly unlikely that it is.)

I hope they animate the missing episodes from the ICE WARRIORS.
JAYROX1969 3 years ago
theyre not animating any more episodes from what i last heard since the two episodes in the invasion cost them like 100 000 pounds
qqqCYBERLEADERppp 3 years ago
I think eventually they will because most of his stories are missing, probably be the very last release!

True, though the common practice here is to treat the whole next story as though it were squeezed into one episode.
Birdieupon 4 years ago
Yeah, I realised that after I sent it. What an idiot I am!
