  • Looks like a Thamnophis radix. Beautiful snake. Mine gave birth today. No fear about the mother eating them. T.radix is not know for doing that. I've never heard of it happening. Nice video.

  • Well, you are partially right. Some snakes (predominantly non-venomous ones) lay eggs. Many venomous snakes of the Midwest, and our little sweetheart here, have live birth.

  • Yes, after watching this video I googled about snakes and laying eggs. I found out that anacondas and rattle snakes are two of some snakes that laid eggs. Pretty amazing.
