  • very interesting thanks

  • a perfect example of center of mass

  • did it. it works :)

  • don't even try it, this glitch has been patched.

  • study the topic of center of gravity..

  • Static Equilibrium. The moment created by the mass of the handle which acts on the pivot point (on the glass rim) reacts the moment of the centre of mass which acts on the same pivot point. Sum your moments and you = 0..any of the match/stick inside of the glass has no effect on these forces because it's mass is negligible. The load is bared from the pivot to the spork only

  • how u did it ?

  • ITS PATCHED i tried it and did not work :l

  • no 1 know....if she have used some glue...lol...bcz if it was on basis of centre of gravity so it wud b disturbed by external force! E.g:air, etc.

  • Like the song

  • physics IS magic sometimes

  • ooh i get it... this video was edited.

  • center of mass.... sheesh... THIS amazes you?

  • Hey wanna see more videos like this one??? I have uploaded dozens of these kinda vids at

  • Physics I`ve done this `trick`before many times.

  • not a magic..burning that stick will make it fall..nice try to fool others..

  • DAM

  • If you do it right, you can actually balance it with only the tip of the toothepick on the glass O.o XD

  • its physics,oh and hears a new song for you, : "LOOK IT UP"

  • 0:34 i thought it was gonna TAKE OFFF

  • fake

  • @coldarc why?

  • @BlackSabbath1989 logic must be your worst nightmare.

  • @coldarc why do u think thsi simple trick is fake?

  • @coldarc fake? u r so ignorant!

  • @epicureo25 i rather being ignorant than a idiot.

  • @coldarc bad news...before you were just ignorant...now by posting that comment you've become a total IDIOT! CONGRATS! ( You could've esealy done this yourself and save us some time...you idiot!)

  • @epicureo25 true i could easily done this myself if i just had some superglue to get the match stuck on the glass. the fork and spoon isn't very heavy and will balance on the match as long as the superglue is holding.

  • @coldarc I don't believe you're serious, and if you are, that's sad. Read a book. Or better yet, try it.

  • @guitarguy123212 sorry can't understand shit without logical construct. now i got it. there are three pivot points in the fork and glass setup.

  • @coldarc It works because the center of gravity of the two forks and the toothpick is on the inside of the glass. When the flame reaches the point of contact between the glass and the match, the supply of oxygen is cut off and the flame is extinguished.

  • @guitarguy123212 i tried to do it in phun sandbox but it didn't work. i guess phun physics is flawed physics.

  • @coldarc Search "Physics Center of Gravity Project" in where you can see a video of a child who is smarter than you.

  • @coldarc lol now you are getting to a whole new level...RETARD! lol

  • shit ton of super glue

  • @dnrongo

lol!! i laugh real hard when i read your comment , it hillarious , which i dont know why..lol!

  • @dnrongo you are stupid!

  • Physics. Definitely physics

  • the center of gravity is located on the stick

  • 1:33 made me swear

  • the stick has been glued on the edge of the glass, so no gravity no nothing

  • that''s why i love physics ,it can explain everything! though i can't explain everything

  • it is fake, because if it is a state of equilibrium as soon as fire lit mass decrease there and it shud fall other side due to increase in mass

  • @XhizorsmAs so you think the half of the tooth pick weighs enough to balance 2 forks ? ... It has nothing to do with that. the center point of gravity lies on the same height than the edge of the glass, additionally it is symethric to either sides. that's why the forks don't fall down, not because the 0.5 gramm heavy tooth pick balances it.

  • @Kaischoosi lol buddy study physics :)

  • @XhizorsmAs I refuse to listen to someone who can't spell "should".

  • @0strawberrycupcake0 SRIE BDDY EM CN"T D() NEFIN 4 U lol grow up

  • @XhizorsmAs And you are the pinnacle of retarded. Go back to school and actually listen to your teachers, "buddy".

  • @0strawberrycupcake0 sorry sir i cant answer you anymore, because i can not answer abusement. may your theory remains the best.

  • it's good. being a scientist is good.

  • Its because of "Center of gravity" method

  • the glass looks good

  • to all commentors, please only reply if you have done and filmed it .. and post the video please .. i woul really like to know

  • this physics is called 'static equilibrium' : ) Thought its a useful fact

  • its just simple experiment on centre point of gravity i do it all d time

  • wow..

  • Wonder Woman made it balance! Is there anything she cant do?

  • its clearly magic...come on people

  • the glass draws the heat away therefore extinguishing the fire.

  • CENTROID!!!

  • glue

  • It's a simple experiment. It's called balance. It can also be done to balance the tip of one toothpick onto the tip of another one, no burning involved. The forks lowers the center of gravity changing how the toothpick is balanced, giving a lot more stability. Since it's balanced at the point on the glass, the other end can be eliminated, as the weight is insignificant on that side.

  • someone got gods number?

we got a gravity problem to fix....!!! :d

  • Is that a wonder woman cup?

  • its called ballance

  • simple. Pivot point for the z axis is at the connection of the match and the utensils the x axis is at the cup and match these combined counter act each other. the match has alot of stress. try this with a coffee straw instead.

  • its the same theory as hang ten. surfs up dude.

  • wat

  • thumbs up if you pee in the shower?

  • @EERHTOFSPADES lol so random!!

  • physics

  • Guys, I just tried this experiment. It works! As much as it looks like its super glued it's not. Try it for yourself!

  • FAKE! the toothpick glued to the spoon! -_-"

  • @rockersrac That's not the amazing point Mr. I wanna shoot down a cool trick with my geniousness LMAO. The fork is holding onto the spoon. The point is why don't they fall off the cup.

  • @rockersrac no it works try if you fail keep trying

  • thumbs up for wonderwoman cup :D

  • becose he is a witch

    lolz

  • ITS A WITCH! KILL IT!

  • Am i a Perv or ur hands r Sexy??

  • The center of mass is directly bellow the toothpick, it's like this since this is a horseshoe system, so all in all if u drag a str8 line from the centers of mass of the 2 objects (spoon and fork), the intercross with another object is the point you are looking fore. Burning the toothpick moves the center of mass by nanometers, so it is a neglectable change

  • The answer is very simple. Cold glass. The fire cannot maintain a high enough temperature to stay lit once it reaches the contact point with the cold rim of the glass. The fork and knife have nothing to do with it, they are just carefully balanced.

  • "imaging radars" +"mathforum" google.com.

  • I know how do you this it is not magic it is some thing in physics it is very simple but I cant speak English very well

  • I have done this, the only hard part was keeping my forks together.

  • ...are you a wizard?

  • Center point of gravity...

  • @0DJMarco0 yeah, everyone knows what it really is you don't have to be a douche about it

  • @0DJMarco0 Do u even know what center point of gravity is? its the point which balances the object. which means the same weight on the right equals the left... this is not the case here.. AND WOW 35 likes.. LOL

  • @Dezki1 OH SORRY MR GOD, Anything else you want to say?

  • fire

  • I can kinda see the logic

  • impressive balance with counterbalance

  • Originally used on an investment commercial* First time on youtube :) (At least I think so)

  • Not magic, just simple physics: In this arrangement, the center of mass of the system falls directly on the contact point between the toothpick and the glass. This means that there will be no torque induced by gravity about the contact point, and hence the system will remain in a stable equilibrium.

  • Your mom.

  • I remember seeing this in Macgyver , actually is a good example of how the everyday world creates illusions, but in reality it is ruled by physics

  • Yay for counterbalance!

  • 2:46 >go on, this vid is useless!

  • ketchup ^^

  • U cant hold that with out shaking so no thats physics!!

  • No glue.. try for your self its simple just looks weird

  • the tale of the both two sliverware is facing the cup, therefore the balance between two forces are completely equal

  • wow!

  • It is a "center of mass" problem. The center of the system of the spoon and fork is located at the point where the toothpick balances on the edge of the glass. The principle is similar to that of a tightrope walker, where the mass of the balancing pole extends the center of mass out, making it easier to balance.

  • @lptull its just hard to imagine the center of mass is there considering the big mass of the spoon and fork. looking at this i think its magic lol.

  • First of all sorry for my English:

The stem of the spoon and fork are in the direction of the stick what makes it balance on the edge of the glass.

But that's what I think I am not sure.

    -Misa.

  • yes it actually does. If you look at 1:39 the length of the handle balances out the weight of the head

  • THATS CALLED SUPER BONDER (SPECIAL GLUE)

  • what type of jobs would do these kind of experiments/projects?

  • yay im an athiest!!!!!

  • fake

  • @bestsk8rever2001 Go try it. It works fine.

  • Center of gravity

  • SPOILER notice the fork and spoon are put so that the handles (the part you hold) are to the right of the center of gravity/fulcrum, balancing them out

    |------- \ | \ | \ |\

  • @vinesthemonkey dont work like that you idiot

  • @vinesthemonkey dont work like that you idiot the heviest part of the spoon and fork is the head

  • @xboxTVchannel fact but that doesn't mean the centre of gravity is located there. Never tried to balance en fork or a spoon on your finger?

  • fucking witches...i thought you all were burned in europe..........

  • Definately magic! Can you make a video on how to do that?

  • IF U R AMAZED YOUR RETARDED

  • This must certainly be magic since i cant work out a free body diagram which explains the balance of the torque vectors on the toothpick.

  • in fact, fake. definitely fake. thanksssss

  • clearly physics. Moron.

  • learn to macro

  • Center of gravity (mass) and torque, that's all lol.

  • omfg?

  • its because the gravitational point on the system (two spoons) is going through the glass. (its easy to demonstrate through diagram )

  • wonderwoman shows her power

  • The tittle should be "Magic of physics"

  • @goranification Your name should be "ai ektn spell dewd''

  • @deadhitter1 ??

  • you sir are playing with forces that no one should mess with..................physics.

  • Just the center of mass is below.

  • Physics

  • Part physics...mostly chemistry after the tip is burned. An adhesive bond is made between the portion of the toothpick in contact with the cup and the glass. Which acts the same way the system acted in the beginning while it was balancing.

(That part is explained by angular momentum in a system with zero torque causing the objects to stay in equilibrium).

  • @Outadate88 I disagree. It didn't need the half of the match that was burned in the first place as it was balancing on it's axis which was the point the match touched the glass.

  • is this a superglue commercial?

  • @ericyeh1995 no, it is physics,

  • It is simple! The fork and spoon attached this way try to rotate/roll over/ in direction of the glass. The toothpick provides a bridge and the rotational force of the fork/spoon lies onto the toothpick but in order to rotate/roll over/ it needs to brake tha toothpick-the power is not great enough thus it hangs. just looks weird!!!

  • @run4hours simples..qszas

  • PYSICIS

  • Fake the toothpick was supposed to burn all the way. There is something holding it.

  • nice song nice video.. but better NICE SONG :P

  • the spoon and fork parts are made of hollow tin, and the handles are made from super dense steel, obviously

  • ha i know this trick!! :D when i showed this to my friends, they were like " What the.. " XD

  • It's called fucking center of gravity. The center of gravity of the fork and spoon combo is right over the edge of the glass and burning off then ends doesn't change the weight enough to make it off balance and fall. This is where the generation of idiots come from.

  • @hipoopyhello Center of weight. Thank you, anyway.

  • @molbydenum No, it's called center of gravity. It's the point inside an object that allows it to balance as long as that specific point is over a base (points where the object is touching either the ground, or in the case the glass) . Just how if you are to lean over without trying to pick up a leg to balance you will fall over because your center of gravity has passed the base of your feet on the ground.

  • @hipoopyhello Oh yea! I agree with you. center of gravity. I remember my teacher talking about that...

  • @hipoopyhello I think you mean center of mass XD

  • @hipoopyhello you cant blame a generation for being idiots; its the generation before them to blame for raising their kids wrong.

  • @letters129 Oh I thought I had stated that, must of forgot a word or two. I meant to say "It is people like this that made the new generation of idiots."

  • This why they burned "witches". Can imagine where we'd be right now, if it weren't for all that Dark Age bullshit.

  • Wonder woman powers :p

  • BURN THAT WITCH!

  • it aint magic -.- its physics ...

  • w0w...y its not work when i tried it..?

  • Big deal. Where's the centre of balance? Exactly.

  • I think the toothpick is glued to the glass surface...

  • balanceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • dude, that's the simplest physics experiment ever! I love wonderwoman, though

  • This is really cool, but I'd be interested to hear from anyone that was absolutely baffled by this when they first saw it, specifically why they think the utensils would fall, or whatever else they think should happen.

  • It's not magic, its vector physics lol, the forces are actually balanced although you cant see the forces so it appears they are balanced against nothing.

  • @headphones222 That's true. It's vector physics. The thing is that there are no other forces other than the force of gravity which pushes down the toothpick to the rim, this is how - even if the toothpick is burned up to the middle- the spoon and fork are sitting still.

  • dumb, but interesting, has any one seen the bird that does that a plastic bird,,,its balence is in its wings and beak

  • @mackdaddypimp32 yes, i've seen that small plastic bird when i was young..

  • torque = zero. The problem can be simplified to think of it as a balance in equilibrium, like a ruler on a wedge.

  • when the wood burns to the rim of the glass the flame runs out of fuel and creates a hook that keeps the wieght of the fork and spoon on the edge of the glass....still cool thought. Mike m

  • Wonder woman is holding the damn thing up!!! anyone can see that.

  • @TheStrazy No it's the invisible man, geesh.

  • @TheStrazy - hahahahahahaha Great response - Love it. Clearly Wonder Woman is holding it up. :)

  • ugh, it's so annoying when people leave comments explaining the whole thing cus we dun want an explanation

  • @JakeJohnRogers I'm pretty sure a lot of people want to know how it works.

  • @JakeJohnRogers Of course we want an explanation.

  • it's physics, the weight of it is shared equally between everything on the glass, it also is attached to each other be a tight space holding them together.
