Depending on your interpretation of "videogame," this could be the first ever game. Wikipedia says that this was the first game that displayed motion, and that had "the graphics contained within the system." Still, compare this to COD, Halo, and Portal....

I'm confused by this video. It shows a circuit with relays, but also LEDs in packages and colors (yellow) that didn't exist until much, much later.

The traces on the scope also show what appear to be digital waveforms. So what exactly are we seeing here?

I believe (by the appearance of the hands of the players) that this was at the fifty-year anniversary in 2008. They re-created the machine for the event; a feat that took 3 months due to the unavailability of the parts immediately.

@Daipop I was told in my college that the first video game ever made was the Tennis for Two game. I'd say a majority of the sources I have found do say it predates Tennis for Two and mention that OXO was overlooked due to the study of Artificial Intelligence dates 1958.

It was overlooked because it ran on a computer called EDSAC which not a lot of people had access to, Tennis for Two however was.

Thus, now it makes sense. OXO was the first video game ever made.

When did the silocone chip some out and did the internet exist in the 50's internationaly? I have heard so many difernt stories about the orogin of the computer and the internet, I just want a straight answer.
