a friend of my girlfriends sister ( I know its confusing ) was on that plane...she said so: an engine caught fire, all lights on the plane were off, and a lot of smoke on the board...thanx to pilot nobody died.he was very experienced...

How could she say an engine caught fire if engines are not seen from inside of md-83 ? I don't think it was the engine problem only AC system overheating which caused electricity and other problems onboard. Luckily all survived.
