I never get tired of listening to this, esp the solos--and esp Monk's ... My daily commute into the city is quite enjoyable--well, tolerable--thanks to the Town Hall concert
I'll be traveling to work with this on my stereo tomorrow(Friday 5/13/11) In what has become a tradition of mine,I'll also be digging the original 1953 version with Sonny Rollins& Julius Watkins, and then an amazing 1981 version from the CD "Interpretations of Monk",that features Mal Waldron,Charlie Rouse,Don Cherry,Richard Davis,Ed Blackwell ,as well as a killer trombone solo from Roswell Rudd. I don't know about you,but I always look forward to Friday the 13th!!
It's snowing in Columbus, OH on Friday the 13th.

When all the horns come in at 0:43 ... God DAMN.
I prefer this version over the original with Rollins, but both are killer.
