@actionjackson9000 Trust me, I know these things. They get squirelly. I had a 1974 Super Beetle with a turbo'd 2336cc Porsche engine, aircooled and intercooled. It was set on Bilstein shocks and coilover upgrade, and big Baer disc brakes with low profile tires on 16" wheels. It was fun as hell, but if you can't drive very well, you wouldn't want to step it up above boost, lol.

The 911 turbo always captured the popular imagination; but, 959 excepted, prior to four wheel drive 911s, Porsche rally cars were naturally aspirated, for the simple reason that, unless tamed by 4WD, a turbo car is not as adjustable on the throttle. To this day, the naturally aspirated GT3 / GT3 RS is the car you see at the Nurburgring, not the turbo.

This isn't a turbo. You can hear the gear whine (probably straight cut gears) and the brakes squeal. This surely sounds like a NA car to me.

Love the guy's car control and 'opposite-lock action' but there's definitely no turbocharger involved. (There's no "PARRRFF" noise at around 4000rpm, when the wastegate would open, and there's the pick-up from low rev's is far too quick - no lag.)

Looks 'wide-bodied' at the back (with black 'Fuchs' alloys) and almost 'narrow-bodied' at the front (with 964 Cup 'alloys') - weird!

I suspect it started life as a simple Carrera or SC or something

This is a 1991 964 Carrera RS with turbo body-kit. It's the standard 3.6L becouse it doesn't sound like the 3.8L and that is also very rare.

There is no turbo on this car ,the whine is from the race transmission.

If I remember corectly ,this is a group B rally car ,so it has around 400bhp.

It might not be a turbo. Porsche made a 3.8 RS (lightweight non turbo semi racecar) and the RSR (full on non-turbo racecar) in the early 90s that used the turbo's body work.
