you have an incredibly expensive desktop computer that you no doubt custom built. I'm guessing you have atleast 8 GB of ram and the best processor that money can buy. This is unfair to compare to a regular unmodified macbook pro. The bottom line is that a desktop PC such as yours is only necessary for a fraction of a percent of the market, while apple products appeal to a much wider customer base. The comparison here is pointless because the products do not compete with each other in any way.

I know that OS9 is not widely regarded as the best OS in the world, but for someone like myself I found it more flexible in certain tasks. It seems that OS9 was more transparent from a consumer standpoint, after 6 years of OSX I still find the BSD subsystem impenetrable.

I actually use this ability to open multiple windows a lot. Its helpful for studying. And besides macs can easily open all of those videos. They have the proper hardware and preinstalled apps to do the job (applescript/automator).

My Mac can open 35 1080p videos before lagging, without the use of a virtual machine. I might be wrong on this, but VLC player just copies the same video but in different windows. so the computer itself isn't really playing a few hundred windows, just one copied into a few hundred windows.

its also worth nothing, you are using VLC, which doesn't natively hook in to many windows APIs, and runs on just about everything. So pretty much anything you do on VLC can be done anywhere else in theory.

mac user here, theres really nothing in your video I would call particularly amazing or impressive though. Infact most of the effects you used weren't even supplied with windows and were sort of either mac or compiz knockoffs, not like thats so terrible, but compiz can do pretty much all of that and runs on really old stuff like P4 machines with GeForce 3 cards. and mac could do all the effects it can today on 1.25GHz G4 machines. If you want to impress me, use math benchmarks.
