When I go WOT on my 2000 s4 (stage 1) it will start to boost and then loose everybit of power (sudden jerk forward and goes into EPC mode) Sometimes then engine itself will turn off at that point I would have to restart the car. If this sounds like a boost leak, let me know FAST so I can get a kit, if not... please tell me what the problem would be if you know
my buddy has '00 s4 and is having trouble building boost quickly. its set for 15psi but falls on its face around 10-12psi. is this a leak? or something more. Ive been telling him to get it leak tested. he can build boost gradually, but any sort of strong pull its cuts out at 10-12psi. any info would be helpful
i want to go buy some stuff to test my own boost on my audi a4, and you are saying you plugged it with "a brass plug" i guess its probably a stupid question but is it just a piece of brass shoved in there with a hose clamp?
How do I know if my 99 vw pasatt turbo is working. It feels like a small 4 cyl with no turbo in my opinion. I want to upgrade it to get more power anyway. Is there something you guys suggest that can boost up my hp? what price range?
Hey guys, i got a vw passat 1.8t.....how do i know if i need to check this? its it gona show up as a check engine light or will i notice the turbo lag?
it probably wont show up as a CEL unless its really really bad. You will notice the car feeling sluggish and slower than usual. If you have a boost gauge you will see a drop in psi.
Thanks so much for this video! It's funny because I know it's not the coil/spark plugs. Then I saw this video and located the crack on that same damn hose! Thanks!
@cjt74 2 3/4" pvc pipe cap end , drill a hole, put a air hose fitting in there with a nut on the other side, use a rubber washer if u want for a good seal, ur gonna want a pressure regulator with a gauge, set it to 5 psi like he says, and go for it, i did this and its not testing anything to do with my turbo, i had really nasty rotted out hoses under my intake manifold that were part of my crankcase ventilation system. this is a very good test to do and his kits are very nice
Did plugin the elbow work?

@Dgriff321 did you disconnect the battery recently. If so you probably need to do a throttle body adjustment

Placed an order just now. Came to Youtube to find out how to build a pressure tester, but you've done the work for me already. Thanks!
