@internetvidyagaems No, actually, it was at the edge of the porch trying to get away when the dog grabbed it and started mauling it again. It was howling for help while trying to get away as well, it was young, probably calling for its mother and was previously fed by humans which is why it was coming to that man for food. So no, it wasn't asking for it. If the raccoon would have run away as well, it would have only fed the dogs prey drive even more.

Dogs are used to tree racoons, yes, they don't maul it to death and smash its head into metal bars so it can slowly die. Even my mother, who's father hunted birds such as duck and pheasant in particular, his dog did grab the birds, but he did not maul them to death.

@ItsWolfeh wow you are the one who is an idiot seeing how coon hunting has been around since the early 1700 in the USA, if you look it up there are 6 different kinds of dogs that are bred just for coon hunting, and thats what they do. Plott coon hounds are one of the best coon hounds in the US and they are also one of the best dogs to have around your family. you have no idea what you are talking about. go back to hugging trees

@firefighter774 Uh, I lived in apartments and used to feed the racoons peanuts all the time, then I once moved out into the country where a family of racoons would come and eat the cat food that was outside. I'm not stupid, yeah, I didn't touch a coon, but I'm also SMART ENOUGH not to, and I'm also smart enough to not let my dog attack it so I can go take a vet visit and explain how my dog has bites and scratches all over it.

@firefighter774 Also, I was looking for a video that showed rabies. I wanted to learn the symptoms and see how it affects an animal. This raccoon does not have rabies at all, I can't say the same for that dog who savagely attacked it. Try letting your dog play with a Pomeranian next time you go out, and enjoy the lawsuit asshole. Also, its 2012, there are much more effective ways to kill an animal, and if you can't do it right, you shouldn't be hunting.
