@daydreamingtoday I'm not really sure but I used to do that a lot for fun as a kid with our chickens. I figuired it was something to do with the pressure points, that if you held or stroked them a certain way they'd freeze or completely relax. And of course you had to be really slow as you do it as sudden movements freak chickens out (how he made the chicken jump up at the end). You can do it with ducks too, just not anywhere as easy as chickens. - proof of a exciting childhood there.
