I love this video. It's so funny! The bit with the muffin is too good. Thanks for making it :) I make videos in a pretty similar fashion and if I added these subtitles to them as well, they would probably seem quite ridiculous. Was going to make an Edinburgh video as well, I was there the last weekend and the bathroom in the Elephant House made me love that place so much! <3
This is gorgeous! I get to see those pretty buildings a few times a week, but I'm usually rushing and I often forget to notice how stunning they are. I'll be sure to have a proper look and take in their epicness every time from now on :)
lovely video Kayley! and i couldn't agree more -trains ARE nice! something so relaxing about kicking back and watching the country go by. and having the room to move about and such is a nice bonus. I've been on that same train too! and I've been to Darlington! (tho I think it was less impressive than its train station...)
hope you are having a nice time in Edinburgh and great holidays!
Its odd seeing your make videos featuring places I live nearby and see quite often. I liked this, your travel videos pretty much sum up how I feel when on a train going a long way. One on the way back?
I hope I see you around Edinburgh this time!!! Seriously Kayley you are the only youtuber I know who comes to Edinburgh, I need to see you and tell you in person how awesome your videos are!! <3
okay.....i think we might have been on the same train....i live in darlington and arrived in edinburgh yesterday.so well,if you were on that train, then i am complete idiot that i didnt talk to you when i thought i recognised that red hair....
I'm on the train 4 ours each day to go to university and unfortunately the train rides are not always as agreeable and calm as this one looks like... oO because if it is, being on a train can be very relaxing...
Ohh my goodness!!!!!! you were passing Darlington railway station as part of your video :D:D:D That's where i live!! This is crazy to me as i watch your videos all the time and never thought you'd be within a 5 mile radius of me :) happy times :P
oh goddamit i want to graduate high school and move to europe and do lovely things like this. in the meantime i gotta keep studying stupid shit that i hate, and wait till summer to travel.
just so you know kayley, you were a very important step on the road to me discovering beauty and being able to apreciate it, just your outlook on life, so thank you for that, thank you so much
I want to travel with you ): you are going to the most wonderfull places and I want to joooiiinn XD but luckily soon I'll go to Barcalona for a weekend ;D
My pc was muted when I watched it, but i didn't know, so I thought you made a soundless video, and I kept watching anyway. It was that much more beautiful.
This video gives me travel-ache, that feeling that you get in your throat and stomach when you need to just GO somewhere... maybe that's not something that happens to other people. Basically, I want to take a train.
I like videos like these, I liked the music too. Also, there's a point in the video where you kinda look like Alexis from Castle, which I also like. :P
I think the train journey up north is so beautiful. I took a train from Birmingham to Glasgow last month and sights along the way were incredible. Being able to see a view of Durham (which is just stunning) and Edinburgh PLUS the Angel of the North along the way really made the long journey up there more interesting. I was really sad that it was too dark on the journey back to be able to see anything.
This made me think that, maybe 10 years from now, instead of having school children write out their reports or what-have-you onto paper, by that time they'll be filming and editing videos like this and handing them in.
Passing people in the day like those on the other train makes you wonder where they are going. What events in their life has led them on a journey parallel to yours. And if your tracks in this life will ever cross or will they forever just be strangers passing in day.
I love it when you make videos like this. I can totally read the text in your voice. Thanks for this beautiful video. You're good at these. 'Lake Cavanaugh' is one of my favourites too.

This brought me memories of my first trip to the UK, my train trip from Stansted airport to Leeds was sooo beautiful... and everything looked like in your video. The best of it was that, like you, I didn't feel like I was in a hurry to get there... and I don't know about how you felt inside, but I was in such a peace of mind... very relaxed and enjoying everything. I love this video, and the music is perfect. <3
I've felt very similarly on that train ride to Edinburgh before. For some reason, no matter what stress you have in your life, everything feels like it's going to work out. It's quite soothing. Lovely video!
I like the fine line between mocking something and actually being something. I thought this video was beautiful, but I chuckled at some places. Mostly because it resonated with me, and I felt that it was honest. Thank you, Kayley :D
I think what made this really artsy was the music. If you had played Pantera it would not have the same effect. It would still be lovely but a different kind of lovely. : )
I really love artsy videos and pretty cinematography, so it was a nice change from your normal vlogs (though I love them too) it'd be great if you did more of these :)
Most British people would not take the same relaxing experience from a train journey that you did. Also, the song sounds a bit like Everybody Hurts by REM. Great video! :)
Ok, so I'm only young, so I'm going to sound like I don't know what I'm talking about or anything, and to be honest I don't. But I really love videos like this, and I really appreciate them. I think that they are beautiful as something for you, and as something for you to share with others. I really love the filming and editing and the way it was put together. This is beautiful Kayley, as all your work is, and thank you for being who you are! :)
Aww, this made me miss the UK. I was there three years ago, and drove kind of the reverse route from Glasgow to London, although train trips are always prettier and more scenic than driving on the highway.
