  • I love this video. It's so funny! The bit with the muffin is too good. Thanks for making it :) I make videos in a pretty similar fashion and if I added these subtitles to them as well, they would probably seem quite ridiculous. Was going to make an Edinburgh video as well, I was there the last weekend and the bathroom in the Elephant House made me love that place so much! <3

  • This is gorgeous! I get to see those pretty buildings a few times a week, but I'm usually rushing and I often forget to notice how stunning they are. I'll be sure to have a proper look and take in their epicness every time from now on :)

  • lovely video Kayley! and i couldn't agree more -trains ARE nice! something so relaxing about kicking back and watching the country go by. and having the room to move about and such is a nice bonus. I've been on that same train too! and I've been to Darlington! (tho I think it was less impressive than its train station...)

hope you are having a nice time in Edinburgh and great holidays!

  • omg been on tht train rout myself from dorset!!!

  • Its odd seeing your make videos featuring places I live nearby and see quite often. I liked this, your travel videos pretty much sum up how I feel when on a train going a long way. One on the way back?

  • Very pretty

  • I love train rides. Depending on people inside with you, it can be quite peaceful. :)

  • The trains in London looks so much more comfier than the ones in Melbourne.

  • snow is not pretty. it is an evil, evil thing.

  • are you going to be in edinburgh for new years? cuz i am!!!

  • I think this is my favorite video you've ever made; it makes me feel so at peace.

  • THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL. AMAZING. YES. :)

  • I hope I see you around Edinburgh this time!!! Seriously Kayley you are the only youtuber I know who comes to Edinburgh, I need to see you and tell you in person how awesome your videos are!! <3

  • okay.....i think we might have been on the same train....i live in darlington and arrived in edinburgh yesterday.so well,if you were on that train, then i am complete idiot that i didnt talk to you when i thought i recognised that red hair....

  • The first time I ever took a train was when I was in France and a group of us planked in the middle of the station and we played the penis game.

  • I don't know why but this makes me feel sad. I think it's the music. It's all very pretty (:

  • this is so nice and different!

  • I live near Darlington! I was there last weekend getting the train to London :)!

  • What a pretty station at the end :)

I'm on the train 4 ours each day to go to university and unfortunately the train rides are not always as agreeable and calm as this one looks like... oO because if it is, being on a train can be very relaxing...

  • i was feeling really sad and then i watched and was happy again :)

  • Have you ever been to Glasgow?

  • @jacquelineawallace Just got back from there.

  • @owlssayhooot Oh awesome, I live there. Did you visit the West End?

  • Durham station! I will be there on Saturday as I head home from London. It's a lovely journey <3

  • this is so lovely! i always love it when you make such videos!

  • I LIKE TRAINS!

  • Ohh my goodness!!!!!! you were passing Darlington railway station as part of your video :D:D:D That's where i live!! This is crazy to me as i watch your videos all the time and never thought you'd be within a 5 mile radius of me :) happy times :P

  • I really liked this. Great video.

  • Fuck, how far north did you have to go for snow?

  • I really liked this video

  • This was really beautifully shot and edited together, Kayley.

  • This was really nice :)

  • Darlington train station..... great because it gets you away from Darlington xD

  • I take that route when travelling between my parent's houses, such beautiful scenery :)

  • THIS WAS SO RELAXING

  • oh goddamit i want to graduate high school and move to europe and do lovely things like this. in the meantime i gotta keep studying stupid shit that i hate, and wait till summer to travel.

  • just so you know kayley, you were a very important step on the road to me discovering beauty and being able to apreciate it, just your outlook on life, so thank you for that, thank you so much

  • LOVE EDINBURGH SO MUCH!

this video made me feel a bit homesick for it.

but i'm going there in a few days so all is well.

    14 days till christmas!!!!

  • what station is that?

  • @SR120 the big "darlington" sign at the end might be an indication, but never having been to edinburgh i couldnt comment.

  • @jamreaper sorry, i'm dumb.

  • @SR120 now i feel really guilty for being so sarcastic, im sorry mate

  • @jamreaper Nevermind, I didn't even catch the sarcasm, having an off-day haha.

  • The text makes it seem like you're mocking artsy videos while the visuals make it feel actually artsy. No word yet on where the music leans.

  • i love trains, especially the journey from london to aberdeen. it's just so damn beautiful.

  • I want to travel with you ): you are going to the most wonderfull places and I want to joooiiinn XD but luckily soon I'll go to Barcalona for a weekend ;D

  • I now want to go on a train....

  • awww that was lovely!

  • Aww, were you visit liam? <3 This video gave me such a couple vibe.

    Not like you are one

    But It'd be cute.

  • @xPapergalaxiesx I think it's pretty clear they are!

  • This was beautiful :)

  • Don't go to Liverpool.

  • lovely.

  • Glasgow is just next to Edinburgh, Hint Hint

  • I was like, Is that Liverpool? Noooo it cant be Liverpool? That cathedral looks like Liverpool?

Turns out it wasnt. Got my hopes up for nothing miss Hyde.

The moral of the story is you need to get your bum to Liverpool.

  • I live in fife just across the bridge to the north QUESTION: what's your favourite Christmas song ?

  • This really calmed me... It was beautiful!

  • I live in Edinburgh :)

  • you love edinburgh and the train is empty cuz its freezing up there

  • very nice

  • Glad you enjoyed the countryside! I love our trainstations like those. They just remind me of Harry Potter.

  • This feels like a moving motivational poster

  • I took an arrow to the knee today!

  • My pc was muted when I watched it, but i didn't know, so I thought you made a soundless video, and I kept watching anyway. It was that much more beautiful.

  • There's something magical about trains. I totally understand.

  • Almost calming. :) Lovely

  • i loove edinburgh, hoping to get into uni there :')

  • I miss the UK so much right now!

  • This video gives me travel-ache, that feeling that you get in your throat and stomach when you need to just GO somewhere... maybe that's not something that happens to other people. Basically, I want to take a train.

  • This video was beautiful! I've never traveled outside the U.S., but this video made me appreciate the trips I do get to take!

  • Lovely!

  • Living vicariously through you until senior year of college when I can finally travel abroad. Bless it all.

  • I had a comment, until the top comment said it all. Great work, even it it was making fun of it. it was done well.

  • Yesterday I took a train from Bedford to London... There isn't much to see on that route.

  • I really like this video, Kayley. It was really nice. Good music. I enjoyed watching it. ^-^

  • great video!

  • I like videos like these, I liked the music too. Also, there's a point in the video where you kinda look like Alexis from Castle, which I also like. :P

  • @rantsbyrichard Haha, my mom always tells me I do!

  • I loved this video. I don't care if you're making fun of artsy video or if it's one, I still loved it.

  • I like that we can follow your train of thougts in this video. It's really nice.

I feel a tiny bit weird though because I just made a video about traveling using the exact same song. x)

  • "My neighbor had a muffin, it looked good" XD

  • I think the train journey up north is so beautiful. I took a train from Birmingham to Glasgow last month and sights along the way were incredible. Being able to see a view of Durham (which is just stunning) and Edinburgh PLUS the Angel of the North along the way really made the long journey up there more interesting. I was really sad that it was too dark on the journey back to be able to see anything.

  • This made me think that, maybe 10 years from now, instead of having school children write out their reports or what-have-you onto paper, by that time they'll be filming and editing videos like this and handing them in.

  • I loved this video.

  • I'm going to watch this video back again because I take the journey from York to Edinburgh all the time and ohh I miss it so much.

  • @TheDiscopony and @joyzaphinemusic both apparently live in Durham. You should make friends with one another.

    If you want . . .

I thought this video was really nice.

  • i love this so much. it had so many of my favorite things in it.

  • Woah woah woah those 'pretty buildings' are in Durham! :D That's where I went to uni and where I live now!

Always exciting to see somewhere you recognise/love in an unexpected place :)

  • Actually quite pretty!!

  • if only travelling on the train to edinburgh was actually this beautiful :P

  • Passing people in the day like those on the other train makes you wonder where they are going. What events in their life has led them on a journey parallel to yours. And if your tracks in this life will ever cross or will they forever just be strangers passing in day.

  • I have got off at that station so may times :) When I get off the train it means I am home.

  • this chilled me out and made me think about my day too :)

and that station you went through is Darlington, my best friend lives there so it made me so happy seeing it :D

  • Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. :)

  • Wow, this is fantastic. I love it when you make videos like this!

  • Me: This looks nice, doesn't it?

    Also me: Yeah

    (I'm watching this alone)

  • @completeidiot19 THIS IS MY FAVOURITE COMMENT.

  • This was great! I also enjoyed the appearance of Slomozovo in your twitter feed XD

  • I love this, but don't think I missed the Inception moment when you must have edited the footage of you editing footage.

  • I LIKE TRIANS-ASDF movies YAY!

  • Wow Great video Kayley.

  • This is beautiful!

  • AHH scotland that explains it.

  • Where abouts in England is there snow? >.< I live in Lincolnshire and we have none at all :(

  • @666FLiP666 Very far north/in the South of Scotland.

  • @owlssayhooot Woo, i've had replies from you AND John green now <3 I'm all star struck :P

  • This brought me memories of my first trip to the UK, my train trip from Stansted airport to Leeds was sooo beautiful... and everything looked like in your video. The best of it was that, like you, I didn't feel like I was in a hurry to get there... and I don't know about how you felt inside, but I was in such a peace of mind... very relaxed and enjoying everything. I love this video, and the music is perfect. <3

  • That was Darlington station!

  • @iliketoastandjam1 It was, yes!

  • This is really lovely, thank you for sharing it :}

  • I am leaving London in a week and this video made me realize how much I'm going to miss traveling on trains! Lovely video : )

  • I've felt very similarly on that train ride to Edinburgh before. For some reason, no matter what stress you have in your life, everything feels like it's going to work out. It's quite soothing. Lovely video!

  • I like the fine line between mocking something and actually being something. I thought this video was beautiful, but I chuckled at some places. Mostly because it resonated with me, and I felt that it was honest. Thank you, Kayley :D

  • thank you so much for this video kayley!

i totally matched the mood that i'm in right now.

  • and now lets all guess whats shes doing in edinburgh...

  • This was really beautiful. :)

  • Durham is beautiful

  • I think what made this really artsy was the music. If you had played Pantera it would not have the same effect. It would still be lovely but a different kind of lovely. : )

  • This was very soothing. Thank you for making this :)

  • i've had a rubbish day but this video gave me a warm feeling. you filmed my beautiful hometown durham and i started welling up. stupid homesickness.

  • this video made me :3 so much.

  • I really love artsy videos and pretty cinematography, so it was a nice change from your normal vlogs (though I love them too) it'd be great if you did more of these :)

  • HOW CAN YOU RESIST NOT STEALING THE MUFFIN??? XD

  • Are you and Liam dating? It'd be nice if you were but maybe you're only friends, I'm just curious :)

  • Most British people would not take the same relaxing experience from a train journey that you did. Also, the song sounds a bit like Everybody Hurts by REM. Great video! :)

  • It looks like an artsy video, but the captions are kind of funny, when they state obvious things. =]

  • That was beautiful Kayley, I recognised Durham the moment I saw it (been through it on a train more times then I can remember!)

  • make a video with liam!

  • Ok, so I'm only young, so I'm going to sound like I don't know what I'm talking about or anything, and to be honest I don't. But I really love videos like this, and I really appreciate them. I think that they are beautiful as something for you, and as something for you to share with others. I really love the filming and editing and the way it was put together. This is beautiful Kayley, as all your work is, and thank you for being who you are! :)

  • @188crazychick this is exactly what i wanted to say

  • I love videos like this:)

  • On the train you looked like a ginger version of Katniss c:

  • Aw lovely. I want snow too. I currently have none.

  • This is beautiful. I've always wanted to travel by train somewhere.

  • Whatever your intention, I thoroughly enjoyed this.

    Btw, You have magic tweets.

  • This is so beautiful. I love when you do these types of videos.

  • This is so lovely.

  • I like trains.

  • Aww, this made me miss the UK. I was there three years ago, and drove kind of the reverse route from Glasgow to London, although train trips are always prettier and more scenic than driving on the highway.

  • @friso1990 I always pause before I make programming jokes, because I fear no one will get it. That said, I am thoroughly amused at your comment and I commend you on making it so succinct.

  • @mobilebimpe I usually don't make them for that reason, but I was programming right before I watched this and it just came out. I'm glad you like it :D

  • yaaaaay, you're back in edinburgh! you should do a gathering there sometime after christmas!

  • 50th view, you are the best kayley <3 and HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

  • you should watch emilieofnewgloom, this reminds me of her videos!

  • @zehraandbeyond She's on my list of people to recommend this month :P

  • This is really lovely! Whether the artsy-ness was intended or not, it was nicely arty.

  • trains are cool, but better with fire and steam no?

  • no dyslexia with this title :)
