  • Woohoo go lone baritone player. I played this two years ago in our middle school band, good job

  • wow may i say it is a joy to "feel the energy and emotion of this stunning piece" thanks for posting

  • Music is like water!! it brings life! wherever your from, music is the only thing that everybody can feel inside et describe it by playing a piece like this one. You guys played it very well. flutes were strong. nice work on the alto sax. trombones destroyed it!!!! you gave me chills!!! you brought me back 12 years ago...playing this piece. thank you!!!

  • what are those snare drum notes around at 5:08? We're playing this in our band but I can never get the first note on beat one to sound right.

  • Flutes, nice job but watch out on the articulation in the beggining. Alto sax, nice job!!! but ur rushing....absolutely in tune in the second section. really great piece and played it wonderful....Flutes i loved your 16th notes. but not together. Percussion, you played well.nice job!!!!!!!!!

  • Chicagoirishman1, You have the most sensible comment I have ever seen in You Tube. It couldn't have been better said, Thank you

  • I played this piece at the Heritage Festival in Orlando in 2000 and iv'e been playing music since 1996 and it is the best of all...

The alto sax and flute solo is amazing and i also love the part of the trombones...for those who are able to play this..i really recommanded...its the best of all.!!!

  • Lovely :) who's that girl in blue... at the back? :)

  • it's also nice on the horn. We're playing this on our filmmusicconcert. It's nice.

  • this song is so much fun to play especially if your playing the saxaphone, or 1st trumpet part

  • Trumpets ftw !

  • towards the end it was a little messy, loved the trombone at 152. (lol i have my music right in front of me, fail.)

  • Thanks, I was :)

I must say we were two different groups playing together for that concert, so that may explain the mess at the end...

  • sounds good. at my school we tried to learn this piece, but we were crap and couldn't get it ready in time for the concert so we only played the one arrangement "queen in concert". I played the bass part on an electric keyboard, lol. coz that's the only instrument i know and nobody can be bothered to play the tuba.

  • tuning problems

  • hey stupid in the bottom those are bagpipes

  • it was good, just wish they found someone with bagpipes, instead of the sax, but a good substitution if any.

  • you guys need to tune again. i can hear like so many bad noises ugg. otherwise this is a very nice piece....it was my fave one that i got to play. oh and the rhythm to me is all over the place a little..it needs some work..

  • Graduating 11th graders WTF?

  • intonation probelms

  • Bad intonation problems - not just between sections but between individual players in sections !

and yes - the drummming ostinato is far to fast when it forst comes in.

  • Haha Milena.. loser! :)

  • drumming near the start is way out of rythmn!

  • the tune needs to be work on and the contraction if you know what i mean...anyway, we're playin dat music and i don't hear any tuba at all watsoever, i'm a tuba playa at heritage high skool and i think we're better than u guys! dats a fact and we have more emotions and you guys need to work on being together and articulations cuz it sucks right now and i dont hear the separation of the notes when being played...work on dat and dat is just a suggestion-if you dont you guys would suck 4ever!!!!!!!

  • the tuning could use some work at times.

  • i remember playing this last year. and having to do the sax solo. its a really nice compilation.

  • we have a concert this monday & tuesday :)!

    braveheart.

    im a trombone player :)!

    i love bar 89 :L!

    where it gets all lively.

    - amazing :)!

  • Thx for comment I was the trombonist in the video!

  • wow that was really good...thnxx

  • the sax in the beginning needs to slow down and really play with emotion...

  • We played this same piece for our spring concert last year. I loved it!

  • braveheart best movie ever ,, and by the way the girls are pretty nice =D

  • We played this in our school wind band many years ago, I played the flute and the opening melody on flute was played by myself and one other flautist; it made it sound a bit tidier, but I really liked this performance, well done!! It was the exact same arrangement that we played so it brought back memories :-)

  • I absotively posolutely luvvvv this song... our school is having our annual pops concert, where we play songs from movies, TV shows, etc. Out of all the songs we're playing, this is my all time favorite!!!! Our arrangement is exactly identical!

    Overall, great performance!!

  • great tune and good job

  • Ending was WAY to top heavy-more bass would ahve been way better-nice job though!-This is our senior song this year-i cry everytime i hear the end

  • GREAT JOB!!!

  • great ! 5/5

  • very nice. Keep it up.

  • MR MILOT!!!! Ahhh c'est tellement plate qu'il sois parti :'( C'était vraiment un bon prof, dieujuste commence a m'énervé...

    bien joué la piece :3

  • generally i thought the 12th graders graduate......

  • it would sound better with a piccolo

  • I love it i love how you picked scottish music it was awsome

  • I think you sounded fine. I will say......to make music sound effortless. You need to become part of it. Don't just read the notes, become the music. Try to convey that to the listener. Think about what these notes, or songs mean. Become someone else for a moment and become the theme. You will be amazed as to how much more effortless and spirited your music sounds.

    Always keep playing.

    " Alba GuBrah !"

  • Very god job!

  • Amazin :)

  • i'm srry but it sounds like people are way out of key. not at the beginning but toward the middle of the song. we played that for band just a few days ago and i have to admit its a really good song and stuff. one quote that my teacher always told us. Practice makes perfect. i'm not saying ur bad. but it sounds a little weird especially the tuba part in the beginning!

  • How are the 11th graders graduating?

  • In Quebec, 11th grade is senior year. Then students are shipped of to CEGEP. So, in other words, 11th grade is the last year of highschool, here in Quebec.

  • we play this in band I am the lead sax on it and I am the oldest and we are made up of 9th graders we sound verry good 100 times better than this band but we also have worked on it for a little bit about 2 weeks and it sounds great

  • I can't stand not to cry at the end of the Braveheart. I saw it with dad, but he died 10 years ago. It always reminds me for that, but I still love this film, and it's music is so beautiful. Great job!!!

  • Amen to that:)

  • That's great. :)

  • the meaning of civilization.

  • yeah :)

  • Nice :)

  • James Horner at his best. I love this man so much for what he is doing!

  • we played that song too, our band sounded better too.

but the memmbers are older, except for some new player like me

  • Im playing the song now and our band sounds better...

  • Youz are really good :)

  • MUSIC!!!!

  • And where might you be from, sir?

  • She's not from France, Idiot.

    :)

  • are they english :-)

  • aye not a bad job

  • Loved it! Great job!!

  • nice XD deveras me gusta

  • Every man dies, not every man really lives!

  • awseome.

  • muy BAD!!!

  • yal suck

  • not bad at all

  • MUSİC BY JAMES HORNER

  • good jop

  • wheres the crescendo! i dont hear a very good crescendo before the last movement! not bad tho

  • AMAZING

  • I don't want to offend you but the saxophone could add alot more feeling to what he's playing. I'm a professional saxophone player and I think that with a little more practise it could be pretty good.

  • Hehe...a self-proclaimed "professional" saxophone player! ;)

  • cmon.. i dont think he said anything wrong.. i am sure you will also agree. is it not?

  • yak

  • the tuning is only due to the quality of the camera. And, I don't know how old these kids are, but i think that the sax could add more feeling and style in his solo at the beginning. He/she obviously had the opportunity to add more because the conductor treated it as if it were a cadenza.

  • out of tune

  • cool

  • here ive never understood what the guy with the stick actually does i know hes in some way supposed to direct them but no one even looks at them does he really need to be there. good video good instrument playing five stars now remember the insruments arent for your bum hole lol only kidding good work

  • The conductor, Mr. Milot, is actually very important. We have to keep an eye on him all the time while we're playing. He keeps us all timed and gives us cues. Without him, it would be very difficult to play properly.

  • You watch him out of the corner of your eye. He keeps time and gives queues.

  • i wish i got to play james horner music in school. nice choice Mr. Milot!

  • here you there mate i live in scotland and we got the same song for 4 years the theme from top gun the take my breath away the gayest movie ever the instrument always changed but it was always the same song

  • impresionanti comu tocan l´cancion de braveheart un saludu desdi cantabria

  • Excellent job! Well done and I enjoyed listening. :) Keep up the good work.

  • the best is with uillian pipe!!!

  • THİS İS A PERFECT MUSİC!!!

  • This is good for y'all's ages. I love the song, and for just being a band (thus, you're high shcool: you're not going to have the bag pipes or strings) it was well played. I play the flute, so i know how difficult something like this is to play. It's one of those songs, where it SOUNDS easy, and the notes are SOMEWHAT simple..but to play it BEATUIFULLY now that's the feat. and you all did a great job. Regards to the grads!

  • Thanks for the support. I can sport quite a few flase notes in there but we're only human xD

    Thanks again.

  • epic song!!

  • their music execution is not all that good.. its rather meek

    which makes it sound beautiful

  • Beautiful, abolutely beautiful. I love that movie and the music is awesome. Great job and congrats grads!

  • i love the song but hey aren't playing it very good but its nice for their age congratuliations

  • they played great. granted, it didn't sound like the london symphony orchestra, but they did pretty dang good. playing music isn't as easy as it sounds. they did excellent.

  • i love that song. it sounds awesome. nicely done......nicley done

  • I love this piece. "Bannockburn" is too epic for it's own good. Great job by the way.

  • why are 11th graders graduating?? Don't you have seniors who are 12th graders?? I'm just curious because that is how it is at our school...

  • It's different here in Quebec. Highschool ends in 11th grade then we go to CEGEP for 2-3 years and then University :D

  • a great theme....a good performance....incredible.....is a great video

  • awesome

  • As a Scot I thought your rendition was marvellous. Thank you.

  • ok... Who thought it would be funny to mark my post as a spam?

  • Where is the Chêne-Bleu High school?

  • It doesn't really matter where it is. Why must you know?

  • I was just curious

  • This is awesome. I can definately see all the effort you guys put into this. Great Job. and give the 11th graders my regards.

  • I love this!!!

  • I'm glad you do. We put a lot of effort into it. 8D
