I had visited this museum many times when I was a child in the 1960s. That's when the building behind him was completed. Prior to the building's completion, they had all the exhibits of the museum in an older 2 story building just around the corner from this newer building that replaced it. There were a great many exhibits including many mummies. In late 70s a vandal broke in and did great damage. Not as much there now on exhibit as back then. Very unfortunate.
Civilization exists independent of human sectarianism, it developed in many places at the same time, Britain (stonehenge, calanish, etc), Sumeria, Crete, Minoa, Harappa, the Yellow River, not just Egypt.
