I need some help about the windows easy transfer. I used the windows easy transfer to copy my original files on my PC to my external drive and then I recovered my PC to the original factory settings. When I tried to restore my PC from the easy transfer, it did not copied the folders in my windows mail program which was my only concern. Is there a way of doing it? Thank you for your reply in advance...Frank
does it transfer program files also, so after I transfer as much as I can to a new computer it would be virtually the exact same thing as the old one, except for the hardware, the OS, and the drivers?
See, it's the little things like this that make me a fan of windows computers. Mac users see a windows computer as a virus catching unusable piece of shit while they're just too thick to realize that they are pretty user friendly especially with windows 7 now.
I'd rather get the occasional virus on windows than deal with the awkwardness of mac or linex etc...I've tried several OS's and XP and W7 are my favorite.
I love W7 a can only think of one or two small things about W7 that bother me.
1. You can't use toolbars on the sides of the screen, but there are other programs for that anyways.
2. Quicklaunch is disabled, but it can still be enabled, so whatever.
3.the occasional virus
Mac Cons: too many to mention, and the occasional virus still.
thankyou....very simple, easy to understand and informative

Hello I am planning to do this via usb transfer cable, a few questions.
1) whats the best cable to use? Could you recommend a cheap one of the net?
2) How long would it take to transfer 150gb worth of space to my laptops 500gb hard drive?
thanks
