Antigua used to be nice when the economic hitmen weren't advising government. Now they charge a sales tax at the point of entry and again at the point of sale. Thank you Canada for your one contribution, other than a cold heart, to making life in 108 sq miles as difficult and as expensive as possible. Ofcourse, they'll tell you Antiguans weren't living in the real world where taxes are a reality. Reality is relative and it's what we're gonna make it. Watch out!!

the Carribean is great in general. Its different when you live there though. Just like Greece is nice when you go on vacation but I lived there for 1 year and its not as charmed then.

we were there 23 years ago and we were unable to rest on the beach. always vendors selling things, actually sitting right down on our chairs. And if we didn't buy things they were rude to us.

Hey there was a shot of the hotel we stayed in...lol Shirley Heights, Jolly Harbour, Dickonson's Bay & St. Johns...The memories :).
