Ingrid Sischy has such an eloquent speaking voice, but sometimes, I think it's taking things too seriously.

And that "challenge" of "making a dress out of thread" and a "chair out of a tree" makes me think of the word "raw" (taking those "raw" materials, and refining them into shapes, but with a better sense of what resources one used)

Lanvin is perfect, elegant clothing that I would die to wear. The men's is just as amazing as the women's. I think it's one of the brands which really embodies a 'French' way of life - elegance combined with lightness & ease, while never being pretentious; it always celebrates beauty.

I agree about his comments. He seems like he's having fun & he's deeply inelligent, but I had a hard time understanding the comment about a tree and a chair. If fashion isn't intellectual and isn't about 'sex and glam', then what is it about? What's left?

This is still a stunning collection. The depth of colour and fabric, & the lushnss of the decoration is stunning. Each one of the looks was instantly desirable (as was with his men's collection). Incredible technique, delicacy, & desirable.
