I'm not a professional musician or anything but I would probably guess that this is an arrangement (Where I would probably guess its a mix of both)

Interesting... it should be Midi performance, but with a very-good quality soundfont though.
I'll make my musics someday and they will be both played and composed by any midi program.

U-GEN discontinues certain covers for various reasons. I myself am looking for other specific covers that he's done as well and I have specific covers that he has done but has not put up for distribution.
However, with some little thought, you can download the HQ mp3 from here with the same quality as the original.
