im still wondering how they got a olds bottom end to last long enough to film this movie lol.. but would love it if somebody would post the entire movie... ive been trying to find it for years
Oh my god , I have not seen this movie since I was 9 years old and for the life of me never remembered the name or who was in it, but I damn sure remembered that Olds Cutlass and the Willys coupe. This is all I remembered.....that 2 cars were racing on a street and I couldve sworn it was the Olds that got run off the road and crashed against the side of a mountain....then I thought that guy Got the Willys and fixed her up. .Did I imagine that song"I Fought the Law" or was that really n the movie
anyone out there remember a hemi powered injected(426) 40or41 willys campaigning out of brooklyn in the mid to late 60's called the aurora7.i think it was owned by a guy named Joe Black. it made some local magazines and ran up and down the east coast.
im thirtyfive now but remember watching it as a kid at grandmas latenight, then at 18 i taped it off chan 13 and practically wore out the tape.i liked the plain jane dodge...give it a decent burial ,but that willy's was as wicked as FALFAS 55'and the olds as cool as MILNERS DEUCE!!!!!!!!
Kudos to all who posted! Great summations! I can only add that about half this clip was out of focus footage of the stands. DUH! do you think there was a crowd there that day? HELLO this a car movie! Do you think we should focus on the CARS Mr camera man? Best part was the Studie chase truck *sigh* Wish I still had mine!
Full of mistakes, but still a great movie. I love that Brian's stolen Hemi came out of a cop car... And that the cop car was an AMC Matador. Just go with it!
this must be where they got the idea for the racing on fast and furious. they shifted about 5 gears a piece and there were as many lead changes as nascar. lol At least they used some mean ass, real cars. gotta love car movies.
35 second standing quarter....impressive.. ! must have near rippled the track..

I have a copy of this movie on VHS and remember watching it back in '88..
I had a '65 Plymouth like the black car in this film.. In fact, this movie is why I boguht it.
My favorite line from the movie would have to be when they guy in the white wagon ask'd Brain "so uh, whatcha runnin' in that Willy's out there?"
Brain replies: "Black and Decker Aqurium pump....J2" CLASSIC
