The same Gary Potter who used to play in the Atlantic pub in the late 80`s ,must be ? My uncle was always saying how good he was and took us down the Dock Rd to see him, amazing !!! Unbelievable 5 stars .Thanks for up loading
i know Gary well, he's always playing. He brings his guitar to the pub and back to party's afterwards. He's a great fella, we had him playing songs from 'Greece' last time. I'll record it for you sometime.
Gary's a total inspiration to all musicians. All those 8-hours-a-day practising as a kid really paid off. To maintain such a high standard as Mr Potter, STILL much playing and more practice is needed. Brilliant stuff.
I've known Gary since we were about 13, he was an amazing country guitarist even then, playing in the Longbar (Atlantic) on the dock Road. I went to a couple of the jazz festivals with the crowd from the pub, they just hired a coach and all piled on! Even the journey was fun!
This incredible talent just had to end up in the jazz world....I remember gary as a blistering country guitarist...world class talent and a nice guy too.
I too have had the pleaseure of watching Gary many many years ago in the Long Bar on the dock road in Liverpool. I also had the pleasure of jamming with him too. A rare talent then and still is....
i used to watch gary play at the local pub called the atlantic in liverpool 20 years ago i must agree with mex gary is a truly talent star and i was privalidged to be able to go watch him most nights of the week for nothing exept the price of a drink. brings back some great memories watching this video
Garry Potter will be appearing back in this very same park for the Mostly Jazz Festival on Sunday 4th July 2010
The Gary Potter Trio are performing as part of the programme dedicated to Django Reinhardt.
The Mostly Jazz Festival is held in Moseley Private Park on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 2010. Should be a great weekend.
