@Bruce1949919 no, it is a '69. easiest way to tell from a side view, the '68 had a 5 piece chrome trim behind the rear side window, and the '69 had a 3 piece similar trim. other trims etc were different, but the cars were almost identical structually.
@druew96 from '72 on, the Torino was no longer a light uni-body car, but a big heavy bus by comparison, with post fuel crisis restricted engines. I had a '73 with a 302 which had 2.75 gears as standard, and wouldn't even spin the wheels. the '68 - '71 cars on the other hand, were the real deal, when the term 'muscle car' actually meant something. '68 and '69 are very under-rated cars in my humble opinion. ok, so i'm a little biased... ;-)
i was working on one that looked exactly like this but needed major body work. butnow im not as its being sold now and i dont talk with the guy anymore that has it
The Torino had no engine cause at that time was barely comin' out of the paint shop. It has one now and is sitting nice and low, by the way....... what kind of ride do you have???
sweet car i almost bought 1 except the guy hit nitrous lost control and totaled it the car was wraped around a telephone pole it was un repairable it sucks because it was in perfect shape he only wanted 400$ i should of baught it to part it out then he told me he scraped it i almost cried the motor and tranny were the only good thing left...:(
400 man recession or not 400 is a fucking steal you got what you deserve not the car but you did next time you see a classic for 400 jump on that shit!!! if dude wanted to sell it for 400 he got what he deserved as well!!! one persons trash is anothers treasure
So anyway a friend had a 69 Torino 390 and wanted to see it on the street so he had me drive it while he watched and then said get the carbon burned out so I said ok but as I was full throttling it back into town the go loud pedal got stuck and I about shit myself but then I kicked something at the right angle and thank God all 4 drum brakes worked and I told my friend hope you had a good view see you later.
This is not a 1969. Its a 1968. I had the identical one. Back too.

@torino390 After I said it I realized my mistake. The C Stripe is different and the rear side lights are different. My apologies.
