What a FANTASTIC thing you are doing. I have just sponsored one of your dogs, Funny, and it feels really good to be able to help in some way. I commend you on work good work and how good to see you educating the children regarding the care of animals; they obviously need it. Let's hope they grow to have a different view than their elders towards these poor animals. I urge everyone to support this cause in any way you can. You are ANGELS OF THE YEAR
What a very brave lady. And doing a fantastic job. If they only realised these dogs could help humans through their intelligence instead of being literally "hounded"
Gill you are an inspiration to us all!!! You are truly an Angel!!
People, please share this video far and wide to help educate others that animals of all kinds are worth our time, effort, kindness and understanding! If Gill can do it, SO CAN WE!!!!
I have adopted Glory, one of the dogs that Gill and John were looking after. She was in very poor condition when they found her but their care transformed her into a beautiful healthy dog. I started off sponsoring her but a comment from John made me decided to bring her to the UK. We had a few problems getting her here but thanks to John and Gill and Irene she finally arrived.
When I take her into my local park lots of people comment on her beauty before they know her story.
When I was in Phuket for Christmas last year, I had the great pleasure of volunteering at the dog shelter and getting to work alongside John and everybody at the shelter, I was even there on one of the shooting days for this documentary. A big congratulations for Gill, there aren't enough people like her, John and the other volunteers at the shelter these days.
I met both John and Gill when I visited Phuket just after the tsunami, soon after Gill got her prosthetics. Far from being sorry for herself or feeling bitter about it, she was concentrating on getting her life back on track and working out how she could get back to helping the strays.
I respect and admire her strength, her commitment and her spirit of generosity. Kudos to both John and Gill for their hard work and dedication! The dogs of Phuket are SO blessed to have them!
This woman and her husband are both legends! I visited the shelter and had the pleasure of meeting Gill & John during our holiday to Phuket in 2007. I was touched by their selfless dedication and devotion to the plight of stray dogs. Gill totally deserves the title of Asian of the Year despite not even being Asian!
Well deserved! I sponsor a dog at this worthy foundation. Please consider helping as well. They are trying to build a new hospital.
