What a great scene! I'm a big Neil Diamond fan, so I was surprised and pleased to see him pop up in this movie.

He really takes on a song and makes it his own. I remember after I saw The Jazz Singer, Kol Nidre was never quite the same for me ;-) BTW, I thought the movie was a nicely done story about a boy and his family finding out what really matters in life.

I'd never gotten around to seeing this film, but a friend of mine did, and mistakenly told me the artist was Neil Young. Quite frankly, Neil Young and Crazy Horse doing a droned-out version of "Hava Nagila" would have been a scream!
