@trainmaster555 i think the resistance are doing pretty well. they've taken out the combine's dark fusion reactor, and have closed their super portal. so the combine are in pretty bad shape if you ask me.

Ok. Interesting indeed that he says "the borderworld, Xen, is in OUR control for the time being". Which indeed is the reason why the Combine now could enter our dimension.

But why would the Gman, working for the Combine, allow Freeman to destroy their enterprise on Earth ? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Check at time 1:41. The emblem on his briefcase. It's the same emblem you see on the combine turrets in HL2. If he doesn't work for the combine, then maybe another faction not-yet introduced (either apart or integrated into the combine?)
